How to tell if 06-07 Grand Prix GT's are actually GT's without looking under the hood

Grand Pricks
I am looking to buy a 2006 Grand Prix GT. I am waiting for it to come in on trade at a local dealership I worked at. I am wondering how to tell if its a real GT with the S/C 3.8 and not just a base with GT features. The car has leather interior, monsoon stereo and polished wheels. Do any of those options make it a GT or are they all available on the base model?

I know I could just wait till the car arrived and pop the hood, but I'm impatient and I need a car by next week. I dont want to wait till it gets to the dealership to find out it has the N/A 3.8, because if thats the case I'll find another car.

Thanks

If it has dual exhaust tips on 06-07 it's a GT.

Base model (only other option besides GT and GXP) has a single outlet exhaust.

Also, the base model can be loaded with all the features. They're options, just like they are on the GT.

If it has these rims it's a GT correct?

Pick it up on tuesday. I haven't seen it yet, but I got the VIN. What can you guys get as far as options go from this VIN : 2G2WR554861302002

Not necessarily true. I have an 07 "base" that has dual exhaust.

Whelp old thread but

When I did my research and bought my 06 GP GT I noticed the 04-05 GTPs were 2G2WR* and the non GTPs were 2G2WP* but in 06-07 the GT's were 2G2WR* Same as the GTPs.

Hope this helps - not sourcing anything this is from 5 year old memory. Main thing is 5th Digit R.
