How to tell if 06-07 Grand Prix GT's are actually GT's without looking under the hood

Noob question! GTP's have a bright white aura surrounding them when parked, in the boost it changes to red given the M90 heat. No aura = GT
 


06-07 there was no GTP. You had Base, GT, GXP. That is all folks, The GT replaced the GTP and the GXP became the High Performance model, with the 5.3 liter V8. And yes the 5th digit in the VIN is an R on the GT with supercharger.
