The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Yep, figured that out as soon as I posted that. Otherwise the pull out seems pretty straight forward, disconnect all the hoses and stuff, remove radiator and fan, disconnect the transmission from the wheels, remove the mounts, disconnect exhaust. Sounds pretty straight forward.
Did you have problems with air in the power steering lines? And since I don't have freon in the car I might just disconnect the lines which might be easier.
If you want to know how to pull an engine, it might be helpful if you read the How to on it.
Just tossing that out there. You can fumble in the dark and ask questions that noobs might not give the best answer to.. or you can turn on the light and read.
Ok I'll skip on them. Finding a lot of more rust holes on the car too. Wishing I knew how to weld to fix them. Also I've decided to not go with a northstar throttle body and just port my current L67. Sorry dsmuts.
Sort of to go hand in hand with my cam install thread but this is gonna be geared towards the rebuild/motor pull part. Here is the list of parts I plan to replace/upgrade. If you have suggestions I am glad to hear them. I wanna make sure this engine is reliable for track use.
Coolant flush

Ported L67 throttle body with adapter piece
Port out LIM to match Gen V
VS cam swap with springs and retainers
Stainless steel headers with replaced and upgraded piping size to G8 mufflers

Timing Damper Fuel filter Lower intake manifold gasket Valve cover gasket Exhaust manifold gaskets Spark plug wires
Spark plugs-two step colder
Engine oil and oil filter with oil flush 180 degree thermostat

2500 Torque converter
Crossed drilled and slotted rotors and new pads

Personally I would do a N* have practically the exact same build you have mentioned just a 3.4 pulley on my gen v. Wouldn't waste money on cross drilled rotors upgrade to f body brakes from the junk yard same price as the rotor set for the calipers and rotors if you wait on a half off day.
Then what is your question about unhooking the AC when it's detailed down to the bolt head size in the how to? Keep in mind..I'm asking..not being critical....seems odd that you'd ask the question if you read the easiest, simplest and most detailed information you can find on it.
