Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged (Lowered, Rims & Aeroforce)

Lol redcompg it worked out good! Would have been faster if I had a better sawzal..it's a little reciprocating saw that's not the fastest but does the job!

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged (Lowered, Rims & Aeroforce)

How did you finally get them out? you didn't really say
What color you doing the fascia in?

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged (Lowered, Rims & Aeroforce)

I ended up cutting/sawzalling the rear bolts off, then where I could see the circular inside bolt part, I drilled a nice size hole halfway thru, a little past the sway bar then just used a socket on the bolt n they just snapped off in half lol. For the front, they were pretty easy n already loose from before.
For the fascias, im planning on painting them the gunmetal, same color as my grille.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged (Lowered, Rims & Aeroforce)

If my front or rears don't come out of the sway bar I'll just pull them off with the sway when I upgrade to my speedbuilt sways.

Yeah they might come off they might not. My fronts both would have been good but I snapped one from over tightening. The rears just had to be cut for me to get the strut off. Just try to spray with pb blaster days before you do it or something. After I cut n drilled the rears out, none of the pb even penetrated to I between. It was dry n rusted to ish. But just be prepared to buy others cuz it may happen!

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged (Lowered, Rims & Aeroforce)

I'm hoping to do them this weekend along with freshening up my front suspension.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged (Lowered, Rims & Aeroforce)

A lot thicker and a lot heavier. The front one is probably close to 40#'s

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged (Lowered, Rims & Aeroforce)
