• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ZZP XPZ Build

And no im not going to turn it over and see what happens. Its gonna be done properly before thats even thought of. Im not that stupid.

Noob question: what is having an "x" before "GT" or GTP" supposed to mean if anything?

It is just Nick's way of saying his GT was better than other peoples...it means nothing :p

I'd just turn the crank via a breaker bar really slowly after everything is installed and watch all the parts move...if there is an obstruction of some sort...then you should be able to pinpoint where it is coming from based on the TDC of a piston...but thats just what I would do...and I'm am far from a internals expert.

oh lol alright. GTRYDA's GT is better than anybodys. HA.....NOT. But thats what ive been doing so far was using a breaker bar to turn it all. Im just gonna step away till after thanksgiving. So i can think bout everything, do some math so i can get it right when i start back up. But maybe sooner than that though.

Just slap the flexplate back on, bolt the starter up, ground it to the block and hook the positive up to a battery and let the oil pump pump up oil.

Alright thanks wickedintent79. After this whole valve train sh!t gets figured out, should be smooth sailing after this.

just ported my Gen V. Ported inlet to 78mm to match my TB still gotta do my TB adaptor. Also removed the H-Bridge with a router. looks awesome for first time. ill post pics here a little later

Ok so its been awhile. Im gonna go ahead and update this thread even though not to many people care. lol. But i do. So here she goes. Ported the Gen V and painted it black and now am back at trying to polish it. lol. Over thanksgiving holiday i watched ZZP sales all night to try to get good deals but really didnt get jack. just on the input shaft is it.

I picked up all these parts for my tranny rebuild:

ZZP Shift Kit (kinda stupid on how its just spacers)
ZZP 2500 Stall Torque Converter
ZZP 4340 Input Shaft
ZZP Oil Pump Shaft
ZZP Hardened 4th Clutch Shaft
ZZP Output Shaft
ZZP 3.29 gears with 7/8 single chain conversion
GM transmission rebuild kit

A couple other things:
ZZP S3 Gen V IC(Traded Tim my Gen 3 S2 IC for it)
ZZP S2/S3 Revised PCV Gen V LIM(Traded Tim mine for this)
180 drilled thermostat

Tranny as at the local shop being built. Motor is back together minus IC and Supercharger. Got the whole lifter situation figured out. Finally!:th_shakinghead2:

haha ya. The tranny parts i was gonna order from 3EP but there were no black friday sales. Plus ive met almost all of ZZP's personnel in person when i went there. Cut me deals on alot of things and have treated me awesome with everything.

More pics will be coming very shortly.
