• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ZZP XPZ Build

well ZZP said use the 7.05's for exhaust side and 7.10 for intake side. And if they were too short or too long send em back and they will give longer or shorter ones which ever the case may be. Well i spent like 3 weeks trying to figure if they were too short or too long. By the way using comp cam oe-r's as well for lifters.

I soaked the lifters in oil for 2 days then started. Was worried if i was gonna be within pre-load specs per comp cams instructions. Didnt wanna start the car after everything and get the lifters pumped up and them ending up being short or long. So i got worried and just threw the stockers back in but that didnt solve the problem.

So i talked with my dad and showed him everything and what all had to be done. He said he would help me after thanksgiving so i waited for a couple more weeks. We finally got it all figure out and everything is fine and in spec finally.

Ok so here's whats up now. Im sending my S3 IC back because the front bank doesnt retain PCV function. And they dont know when more will be available. So ima send it back for a S2 gen V. I really want the S3 but if they dont know when more will be available then i dont wanna wait since my whole build is almost completely done.

The tranny situation: Here's all the things that need to be replaced besides all the stuff i left them with.

1-2 Band
Reverse Band Torque Signal Valve
TCC Combination Valve
TCC Regulator Valve ACT Feed Valve
ETC Solenoid
Thrust Washer Kit
4 Imput Steels (or seals, didnt understand quite what he said)
Pump Vain Kit
2 Bushings
Lower Sprag
MLPS
Input Speed Sensor
Sun Gear
3,2,1 Clutch Pistons

Tranny had 193,000 miles on it. All valve bodies were leaking.

do you like trying to do 150 mph on the highway? do you like hot lapping at the track? if not then you dont need a stage 3 because heat soak wont happen.

Heres a little update for u guys.

Got my tranny back yesterday. Its all done and completely built finally. Clean and everything. Has all the goodies i bought then all new parts from them that were wore out after 193,000K miles on it. Will have quite a few pics of it along with all the worn out parts.

My Gen V was sent out to Josh Vandenberg for polishing yesterday. Cant wait to get that back.

My S3 that didnt have PCV for the front bank was sent back 2 days ago back to ZZP for the S2 since they didnt have an idea on when they will have the next batch of properly drilled PCV channels plates for the S3's.

Pics will be later tonight.

motor is finally in. waitin on my supercharger to get done being polished by josh. Have a problem with the ZZP Headers though. I dont know if any body else has had this problem but the tranny dip stick i had to bend to get in. Its touching the crossover on the back header. is this ok?

Pics will be up soon.

bend it more so it doesnt touch. or if youre creative get one of those bendy dipstick tubes and then you can run it pretty much wherever you want.

Could that be picked up at any auto parts store. might have to try that. This build is on its final stages.
