Zzp downpipe

Ok here's the deal. I have some money set aside for headers, but the speed daddy headers everyone recommends are out of stock and when I called they said it would be weeks before they would be back in stock. It's getting cold out and I do not plan to install headers in the snow/cold ass weather. My car will occasionally get around 4* of knock retard and I'm looking to get rid of some of that so I've been looking at getting just a downpipe and get some headers come spring time. So my questions are:

-My car has stock headers, and also the stock u-bend. A downpipe will help my knock retard correct?

- what downpipe should I get ? http://shop.zzperformance.com/Store/ProductDetails.aspx?itemID=249 I'm looking at the 3inch off road pipe with an o2 bung welded in.

- this is direct bolt in to my stock exhaust manifolds right?

Anywho, my car is a top swapped gt with a stock pulley. I don't plan to do too many other mods for awhile. I just want the setup I have to be safe. Will a downpipe suite my needs?

2001. In my other thread people were saying ssautochrome never sent their headers and refunded the money a few weeks later. I'm not a huge fan of people that have poor customer service.

$700 for headers is unfeasible for me right now. I'm not worried about having to buy headers later on down the line, in worried about the way my car sits. I don't wanna drive around all winter with the chance of blowing it up if there is something I can do about it now

If I do end up purchasing a downpipe with no cat, am i going to run into issues involving too much fuel? I've been searching around and found a thread saying people were having problems with that. From my understanding if i install the rear o2 even if I don't have a cat ill be ok, and won't have problems with that cat test (I don't remember exactly what it's called)?
