Anyone got any opinions on this GXP? 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, $14,950 - Cars.com
I'm considering getting a newer car come next winter or this time next year and I'm torn on what to get.
D, I would go and test drive it. You can't really say for sure until you get behind the wheel.
If you do, listen for the wheel hubs roaring, and clicking while turning (axles), and keep a eye on shifts as the trans get weak due to the power from the V8. If it feels good and pull strong it would probably be a solid car. 80k is nothing on those, the trans is the only big weak link, the 5.3L is the same as most other 5.3s and are solid work horse motors, basic maintenance and you will be golden.

Granted, in a year, the 08's will probably all be pushing 80k miles...which is more than I wanted....but if I could find one in the right price range.
It seems a little high priced to me. Especially considering I can pick up a '11 Impala LTZ for that price...it wouldn't be a V8, but it would be 3 years newer and half the miles.
In theory, I would like to stay around the 10-12k$ range.
