• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Wtf, iPod.

Koniig

Brightening up your day.
Okay, all I want to do is play my iPod in my 07.

I have nav, so not even a cd changer.

Hate FM transmitters.

And no tape or AUX.

Need. Help. PLEASE.

Okay I just looked at that thing you posted. I have the touchscreen nav in my car. Will this work still?

No idea if it'll work for your nav but this thing works great! Clear as day and beats any FM transmitter.

I still think its funny how they put an aux jack in the Buick Lucerne, but not the GXP.

Like some old timer is gonna use an iPod, let alone AM radio. :th_shakinghead2:

Yeah **** is stupid, well, I think I'm gonna try something similar to garreTT over there, does it go through your glovebox man?

This is exactly what I did and I will tell you what I did wrong.

I don't know how the back of your Head Unit looks but there should be a 24 ping and a 12 pin. You need to tap into the 24 pin on the FATTER orange wire. I made the mistake of going through the yellow wire at first but I quickly knew I did something wrong. After that attach the grounds and everything. The module itself isn't long enough to go to the glove box so I slipped it right under my head unit and I can grab it and pull it down or just slip it back up from the passenger side. I took the iPod cable itself and ran it on the bottom left side of the carpet and plastic (very simple) and up to the container thing in the middle.

If you need pictures let me know!

Here is the cable I used to charge and hook up to the RCA.

Ipod Digital Cable Charger & 3 RCA out for Audio & Video

You need to tap into a power source and a ground. Also, I tapped into the ground for both of them on the bolt on the passenger frame by the feet.

If you have any questions at all let me know!

Nice man, you should def do a write up.

Because I'm definitely looking at doing this. Sooo pics would be spectacular. :D

That means I have to tear apart my head unit :P. I'll do my best to describe everything I've done. I'll take some pics of the completed project (which isn't much) but I will try!

You don't need to go through thattt much, if its a big hassle, its okay :3

I just figured you could post it in the write up section and get some rep because I know a lot of 04+ are in the same boat as us. lol

That's good enough for me! I will for sure write up a little article for everyone else. Possibly this weekend.

Sounds very straight.

Looking forward to it because I WANNA PLAY MY IPOD!!

I just hope it works with the touchscreen O.o

Is yours a 6 CD one?

Yes it is and I don't think it'll work with the touch screen without some integration. All you do is go to XM and press seek up three times and once down and it plays through the ipod.

Well I can still do that with mine. Goddammit. This better ****ing work.

FML.

Is it really too much to ask for to have a ******* tiny ass hole in an 07 GP? **** shouldn't be this hard...

To garreTT: How come you just didn't get a new cd unit? For the same price you could have gotten a decent Kenwood or whatever brand with an aux unit.
