• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

WTF do I do now?

Ok so I got my 97 GTP pulled apart and the LIM removed and wound up in the hospital a couple of days (unrelated) and in that time the phone that I had taken a butt load of pictures on of my tear down has been stolen :th_angry2: Now I am going to be putting the car back together almost blind :th_scratchhead: as this was my first time tearing this car down to do the LIM gaskets. Is there a schematic of the vacuum system and the engine electronics someplace online that anybody knows of? I think I will be okay for the most part but I would sure like to have something to fall back on in case I can't remember something along the way. I was thinking of buying the 3 volume shop/service manual anyway but if there is something online that is quicker that would be great. Thanks!

i know there are people in florida near you. message machinegunsquid or somebody around you. hell if you pay them alittle gas money and beer im sure theyll come help a fellow gp owner out :)..

or everyone will be a total ass lol but that dont happen here.....right?

Wiring harness slips into place rather easy, vac diagram shoul be on a sticker under yer hood. Sorry to hear yer phone got jacked. I hope yer hospital visit cured you of whatever you had.

The electronics are pretty easy, each sensor has its own plug. Being down in Sarasota I know that Joe (SpartanGL) is in your area, I'm a decent ways away.

Well yeah.

Until he finishes with two extra bolts and an o-ring, and can't figure out how to plug in the MAP sensor. Um... not to make you nervous or anything bro. I'm sure you'll be fine.

That is my concern. If I build a book case from IKEA or something and wind up with an extra nail, no biggie. If I wind up with something extra here might be a biggie. I have watched the LIM Video quite a few times but it is not working now since the site updated a few days back, or at least it was not working earlier, I'll check it again of course. I'll try the GPONA thing too though, that sounds very helpful. Thanks to everybody that threw out a suggestion.

if you have questions about something while putting her back together, just post a picutre and you will get help.

SWEET!!! Like I said, had been in hospital for a couple days and I had not looked at my inbox very good I guess. Thanks, you might have saved me from complete and absolute failure. I did my tear down from memory along with the notes from a few people in the LIM video thread and a few other people on this forum. I was just worried about putting it back together from memory.

im on the other coast here in florida. im getting ready to do my topswap in the spring... was gonna do it over the holiday but still waiting on parts to show up. but that gives me more time for porting everything. if you ever need help there are a bunch of us out there and if you need help with tuning that is one of my specialties.

Throwing out a feeler here. The thing that put me in the hospital last week, has me a little more worried than I thought. My attention and focusing ability are way off right now and even on my best day they are not that great. That being said, I am more than a little nervous about putting the car back together and messing it up. If there are any guys or gals in my area that have done a LIM job on a 97-03 GTP or similar motor that want to help a fellow GP owner out and at a minimum eat and drink like a king or queen while doing it, I am asking for help. I am more than willing to pay a few extra bucks too. I am pretty sure that I have everything ready to go but I can't seem to focus long enough to really start putting the car back together. Beer and booze will be served in limited amounts until the car is back together ;) (unless you are a better wrench when you are drunk) then I will get you hammered if you want or send you with a case of your choosing. If anybody is interested please PM me. Thanks!

I re-read my post and want to be clear that I am not saying I would serve anybody alcohol and then have them drive. I do not like drunk driving and would never help facilitate that myself. I was trying to be funny and when I looked at the wording realized how it could be taken by somebody who does not know me. Sorry if anybody took it that way, that was not my intention.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy new year!
