Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Not his fault someone came to look at it, said they'd give him X dollars and they'd be back. And then came back with way less.

Re: Racebalt Returns...with pictures on page 5!

still.

the major killer for me and these cars is the lack of center console.

Re: Racebalt Returns...with pictures on page 5!

IIRC the cobalts handled way better than stock srt-4 neons when they first came out.

Re: Racebalt Returns...with pictures on page 5!

oh yes absolutley!

when they raced totally stock SS cobalts in SCCA races in like '06 when they first, first came out because with any mods they were too fast for the class competition.

but.

yet again..
dinosaur technology for the win.

Re: Racebalt Returns...with pictures on page 5!

i wouldn't mind converting to the non-SS rear end. looks cleaner and less 16-year old than my cirlce lights

But doesn't it just seem silly to buy any car new , especially with upgraded wheels, and still have drum brakes?? Wtf

There is one just like your car at my my work. It looks like a 4dr SS model. Smaller SS rims, N/A , 4 doors and rear drum brakes.

Re: Racebalt Returns...with pictures on page 5!

Bah. Good news? It's still 5-lug so a rear disc conversion would be a cake walk.

Re: Racebalt Returns...with pictures on page 5!

G6 rear brakes? Theres a couple GT's at the local yard. Need I go part browsing for you?

Re: Racebalt Returns...with pictures on page 5!

Same part #?

Haven't looked into it that much really.

I'd do the Brembo's up front at the same time.

I have the ABS hubs with sensors, backing plates, calipers, ebrake cables, and maybe some other crap in my garage from when I had to replace the rear axle in my SS. You would need rotors but if you actually want to do a rear disc conversion this might be a good start. When I took them off the e-brake mechanism was jammed on the one side so the e-brake only engaged on one side. I sprayed it with some PB blaster and worked it free but I've got no way of knowing that the e-brake works on that side again.

Everything has ~58K miles on it except the ebrake cables and the one red caliper which have 33k miles. I had it all for sale on css.net but I haven't been on there for so long I don't even know if the thread still exists. I also have SS FE5 (from the supercharged, not turbo) rear shocks with no leaks. If you have any interest in any of this stuff let me know.

Re: Racebalt Returns...with pictures on page 5!

PM me on the rear suspension...probably not going to **** with the brakes until the warranty is up...just gonna hit them with some black paint to make them disappear :D

Thanks though man...totally forgot you had the SS/SC.
