• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I just got my motor put back in, got everything connected and hooked up, primed the oil pump, but when I go to start it, it just cranks, stutters and "coughs" when you stop cranking off. The cough noise sounds like it comes from the intake, but I'm not sure. Here's a video of it:

I also need help locating where this line plugs into:

Thanks guys!

not sure if im right but i can see on the supercharger vaccum tree your missing a line. it might go there. not sure though.

It does.

Plug that line into the top of the blower and see how it runs after that...you've got a decent vac leak right there.

All of the above are right about the vacuum line, it runs ur HVAC , plug it into that tree on top the blower and hopefully blue is right about the non start, thats a nasty vacuum leak with it left unplugged.

it sounds like its back firing out the intake, have you double checked the plug wires firing order? 2 wires in the wrong place will mess you up good.

I'll double check the spark plug wires tonight. I hope it's something simple. This is stressing me out.

So if it won't start with that line connected, and the spark plug wires are all hooked up properly, what should I look at?

Heading home now. I'll plug in the vacuum line, check the plug wires and re-connect the ground for the ICM. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks so much for the help so far.

Okay I did all those steps. Still won't start. I am still getting that "coughing" noise out of the intake (I think). I have a fuel pressure of about 40 to 45 psi with the key in the "on" position. I also tried holding my foot on the gas, it didn't do anything.

have you checked for spark yet? double checked all the grounds are bolted up? starter wires hooked up right?

in the vid the battery sounds a little weak.
