just put my headers on went to start the car and it starts revs then dies. i can play with the gas to keep it running but it runs rough and it dies once i let off the gas any idea as what it could be?
thanks

Check for vacuum leaks (ie. Lines not connected back) Also for exhaust leaks.

What did you do with the EGR?

Double check all connections that may have been knocked loose - MAF, vacuum lines, etc.

-Swash

When I did my rocker install all my car would do was crank over and over...turns out I never bolted down my main connection to the ICM...that bolt was just hanging out...double and triple check everything like Swash said.

I had a similar problem when I couldnt get my EGR sealed right. I had a blockoff plate... ended up using a penny.. cause the plate was a PITA and leaked.

Correct, i have the egr opening on the LIM (under the TB, glued a penny with Copper RTV). Then the Exhaust egr outlet... has a penny jammed (bent in there) and I added copper RTV on top of it.

Are you getting any codes?

My car was pretty much undriveable when I had a leak at the LIM. Double check all vac lines, from TB to EVAP... under the snout of the S/C...

ok yea i got all the to glued up. i can find a vac leak but that is what i think it is cuz my boost gauge reads 0 when it trys to idle and reads 20 ish when i play with the gas.

Your boost gauge should read negative under idle.. Im not sure exactly the value (i dont have mine hooked up) ... double check those lines. Better yet remove them to see if that helps. Simplify the setup if possible.

EDIT: From what i read... (correct me if im wrong guys, your should idle at 19in)

i know before i did the headers it read somewhere around -20 but right now it reads 0 but if i give it gas it go to around - 20 but it still want s to die when i let off the gas. i dont know where else to look.

now if i disconnect the o2 or the air sensor it revs up to 3000 then down and dies. i have no clue what this could be/ anyone have an idea?

^^ Good deal...I couldn't find a good one...but that is for a '97 and they have a little different vacuum routing then the '98+ cars.
