• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

wisconsin

I just completed putting together my 2003 GTP and would love a tune.

180* Thermo
AL 104's @.054
HAI (Bend + Open Cone)
ZZP Headers w/ Cat
2.5 Catback
1.9's w/ L76/L92 Valve Springs
MPS 3.4 + 3.25
WBody Store Shift Kit
Among other suspension + appearence parts

I would like to have maximum timing (WOT 19-20* HWY 40-42*? from what I read) on the MPS 3.4 without KR hopefully. If possibly I would also like to add toulene to the gas and shoot for the same timing on the 3.25 pully for track purposes. Along with timing, I would also like the ammenities offered by venders such as ZZP as well:

Speed limiter removed
Raised rev limiter
Raised shift points (6200 RPM?)
3-1 and 4-2 skip shifts
Transmission line pressure increased
185F fan turn on
90 second fan on at key-off (this feature activates when engine coolant is 180 degrees or greater)
MAF calibration is year specific
Removes lag by changing downshift tables
Part throttle KR issue fixed
Torque abuse modes are modified to eliminate bog at launch
Shift KR is remapped for modified vehicles
Power enrichment tables modified for cars running increased boost
Torque converter lockup tables modified to improve transmission life and eliminate converter lockup hunting

I also do not have a pully puller and if you have one, my plan would be to put on my hub and 3.4 at your place possibly. Once completed with the 3.4, switch to the 3.25 and add toulene to the gas tank and see if that's obtainable with the same timing. I also have a pillar pod with boost, voltage, and oil. Due you have a wideband and if so would I need to weld on a bung?

If this is something you're able and willing to do, let me know a price that would work for you. I'm currently in Madison, WI for school, but go home to Racine, WI frequently. I am willing to travel.

Let me know if you're interested and a price that would work for you.

Thanks,

Matt

Hey from Elkhorn. I'm a recent member, and I work with two other gtp owners. It would be cool to get together as a group. Check out other whips!

Some of us put together a meet in Wisconsin on July 12, look under the "Shows and Events" section for details.

I'm from the Wausau area and looking for someone to tune............I will travel anywhere in the midwest if they are a good, reputable tuner. Any suggestions?

Another Wisconsin meet in Glendale this next Sunday, July 26. Check out the "Shows and Events" section for more details.

Liquifire - I have used Dan from Sheboygan, WI to do my tuning and am quite happy with him. His screen name on clubgp.com is "danthurs."

I am not sure about the side as far as laws go, but Fern Island (Oak Island) would be a nice place also maybe Marathon Park but that is all gravel. It would also depend on how many cars.

i might do a trip to Wausau or Stevens point? Then after that we should do one in the west of the state, we might be able to pull from MN then.

Yes we should get a list of people that would be willing do come to a meet up here. Gravel should be fine as long as people are not trying to drift or drive dumb in it, and I hear Marathon Park is right near downtown too.

Taco Bell trays work better :D. Acually Oak Island is right in downtown but downtown fails. If you want cruising hit Grand Ave. LOTS of rice buckets!

Also anyone in Wisc. Dells today?

Seen a red GTP with cat back work. I was going into a store and heard it and look and I saw it was a nice red GTP and I was like HELL YEAH!

Liquifire, any pics of your gtp?
Actually.......no, not yet. It is 2 door, bright red with tinted windows w/chrome uppers........stock rims, stock spoiler, I will post some pics when I get them, but it prob won't be for a couple of weeks......Nothing special looks wise with my car...........but I like the stock rims and the rest is OK. Not worth it to redo it and get it back to showroom condition. It is still decent w/ almost no rust.......(just a little on the bottom of car and in the engine bay....all panels rust free.

I may have seen your car around town. I drive the Silver GT with PONTIAC in the back window. Prolly seen me I drive a lot.
