Whats up gp heads. I have a problem with my 97 gp se. When i turn the key to the on position the low fluid light doesnt come on. Besides that, the wiper works fine but there"s no fluid coming out. The fluid is basically full!! The wiper hoses are fine as well. I wanted to know what can be the problem? Is it the pump or something?... im not sure. Could use the help, thanks :)

Re: Windshield wiper fluid!!!!!

probably the pump i think i have one laying around if your interested

Hi newbie here, just bought a 1997 GTP

No washer spray, wipers work.

Resorvoir is on top battery type. There is a hose hanging loose from the tank.

The one to the nozzles is connected. Is the thing in the tank the pump or low level sensor ? I think the previous owner lost the pump ? Does it mount in the engine .

Thanks

The pump mounts at the bottom of the tank. You can get to it by undoing the inner fender well on the passengers side. If you have a hose hanging loose welp there's your problem.

He has a 97 and said it is on top the battery.

If you didn't have a pump, you wouldn't be able to put fluid in the reservoir or it would run right out. The pump presses into the reservoir down towards the bottom of it. It has a plug going into it and a hose coming out of it that goes to the washers. There is a hose coming out of the top of the reservoir that just hangs down. I guess it is an overflow. Not really sure what that was ever for. The low washer fluid sensor is on the top over by the fender brace. It has a wire plug going to it.

Most likely you need a new pump. I'm pretty sure I have a good one laying around if your interested pm me

fixed, hoses were routed wrong, and pump was missing, previous owner had a hose stuck in were the pump goes. Also had the line from the jets hooked to the overflow nozzle on top of the reservoir. thanks for the help,
