So i have a problem.... (doesnt everybody)

The factory (i do believe it's factory) window tinting on the drivers side of my car has eithor bubbled, or rippled on the windows, what i'm wanting to know is 2 things..

1)Is there a quick fix to make the tint not look so sh*tty on my car

or

2)is the tint removable from the windows (help appreciated on if it is removable)

^reason being it's not dark enough and i would love to have 20%tinted windows with a 4 1/2'' bar at the top done

Help Appreciated
Thanks guys
(may be posted in wrong section, if so i'm sorry)

EDIT!!

Might as well throw this in here too (rather than make another thread)

How does one go about tinting the Front Corner Lights, and the tail lights? VHT nightshade? if so where do i purchase a few cans?? And what is the best way to tint? (not looking to go super dark)

well then, whomever installed it, did a terrible job, there is 2 large bubbles on the drivers window (about 3''long 1/2'' tall) and the drivers side rear window, is rippled like crazy by the pillar and across the bottom, other than that the other windows are flawless (will try and post up pictures this weekend)

As far as tint goes... you can just pull it off.. OR the place that you want to retint the windows can take it off... As far as tinted tails go YES nightshade.. There is a write up on how to do it... It is easy...

like other things (when you pull them off containers) they leave like a resin (glue) and if you dont pull it off all in one movement it leaves little lines, does that happen witht he tint? if so, is it removable??

Yes it does happen with tint... And i assume it is removable... Prolly like some goo gone or something...

Watch some videos on youtube.
I know a heat gun or hair dryer helps to get it to come off easier. (nice and sunny warm day would be best as well)
There is also adhesive remover for tint that you can buy, or I'd imagine goo-gone or the like would work too.

i took my own tint off myself. used steam from an clothing iron and slowly peeled away with a razor blade. left alot of glue behind so i sprayed down the window with window cleaner and scraped off the access glue with the razor blade.

If you hold the blade flush or a really low angle you shouldn't have to be worried about scratching. Same goes with everything, don't use a knife/blade if you can't control it. Plus they also make plastic razor blades for stuff like this.

it actually really hard to scratch the windows with a blade i used to work with my friend on his car lot and we would go to auctions every week and we would have to scrape the writing off never scratched one with a blade and ive removed tint a few times and never scratched a window

So i finally got around to getting a picture of the bubbling (couldnt get a clear pic of the ripples in the back window)

Is it fixable???

not fixable, you need to remove the old tint and re install new, a heat guns helps shrink areas that bubble up, someone took a short cut on that install job. you cut the tint to fit on the out side of the glass, hit with heat gun to shrink to fit, then put it on the inside of the glass.
