will they fit?

DUI BABY
i guess im looking for a few opinions here. physically i know they will fit, but my issue is if they will rub or not. ive already got my fenders rolled all around the car, so that will help.

i found some 17x9 cobra rims that im looking to pick up. i believe the offset is +24mm or +26mm. they will fit, but will they rub with my prix being lowered?

I know with 18's you have to roll your fender lips and there still is some rubbing issues. The 17's you might have better luck of no rubbing, but since your lowered my guess you probably will rub with 17x9's.

Yes, they will rub when compressed. With a 26mm offset you will have to work the rear fenders quite a bit. Not sure about the front.

With the overall height being close to stock you would be rubbing even if you weren't lowered. I've got a 35mm offset on my rims and I had to work the rear fenders just a bit. The 26mm offset would make the tire stick out almost a full centimeter farther. I've got 245/45-18's which are a wider tire, but I don't imagine you'd run much narrower tire on a 9" rim.

Are you going to hold on to your stock chrome wheels or were you thinking about getting rid of them. I was just wondering because I have the exact same stock rims except they are not chrome and I've always wanted chrome ones like yours again if you decide to get rid of them.:th_biggrin2:

id run them in the winter. dont want to run summer tires in the snow, thats a no no.

they look ridiculously nice on the car if you shine them up:

IMO, more wheel and less tire looks the best. How many inches is it dropped? I had a 1" drop on mine, running 18s with 40 series wrap....no problems whatsoever. I actually could have stepped up to 19s with 35 series if I wanted to.:th_winking:

They are still going to rub on bumps. 17, 18, 19 ,20, doesn't matter. They all get the same tire height, 26.5ish". It's just how far out that tire will be sticking out. +26 with 255s on a lowered car, it's gonna rub.

eh, bring it on. i have my fenders rolled all around so im hoping i should be good. i dont want to run 245s on a 9" wide rim either, its too small. ive seen these on other people's cars and but im not sure what their remedy was for making them fit correctly.

i had some 19s on with a lower 30s offset and those rubbed in the rear until i rolled the fenders. then they were all butter. we'll see how this ends up, im more than likely not going to have them on this season at all.

255s on a 9" are the way to go. I have 245s on my 9s and wish I went wider. At least you have the fenders rolled. That should cut down on cutting the tires if they di rub.
