wide

whats the widest i could go. i like gotboosts cause his stick out pretty far, but it seems like the wheel is just stuck out, not that the rim and tire are actually wider. Is there any way to run some fat a$$ wheels? even if its just on the back? and i think thatd look cool, kinda like the classic muscle car look. fat rears, slightly (and i mean slightly) smaller fronts. opinions. and yes that means you bio haha =p

but wider rears wont have any benefit though. with front wheel drive you should do the opposite wide fronts and thinner rears

I'm not looking for any performance benefit. Purely cosmetic, I don't plan on taking her to the track or anything so I won't matter

probably the biggest and lowest offset you can go (which you want for the wide stance look) are 18x9 mustang wheels with a +36mm offset.

like i said, 18x9 with a +36mm offset is probably the biggest you can go.

so you want these.

they dont make cobra wheels in the higher offset like you need.

ya i know. you said its not hard tho, just heat em and wack them with a rubber mallet till the lip is like a v right? i know theres a sticky on here ill check it out then

DO NOT FOLLOW THAT STICKY!!

the sticky states you should cut slits in the fender lip before bending it up. that will warp the fender and also cause it to ruse. the ONLY things you need are a mallet and a heat gun.

yes, im not kidding. take the tire off, sit your fat ass down on the ground, heat up the fender lip so it is HOT to the touch (like you dont want to keep touching it), and then take whacks at the inside of the lip until it bends up instead of being at a 90* angle. the hardest part is figuring out how hard you can hit the fender without screwing it up which is surprisingly hard.

good luck.

mine dont look fat they are fat for a grand prix 17x9s on 255 wide rubber is pretty fat....some people like the way they look somepeople hate....i am fighting alot of rubbing issues right now tho :(

i thought it wasnt rubbing anymore after you rolled the fenders? where is it rubbing?

on the plastic shyt in the front fenders toward the back of the car im just gonna cut the portion out that rubbing.....and in the back there are these little bumps in the rear fender gonna grind them down and re rubber coat it or i might just fab up a half inch rear strut bumper spacer because it is barely rubbing! i mean barley just marks on the tire no gouging....im thinking the bumper spacer is a simpler idea
