• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

why why why does everytime i wash my car it rains that day? i mean it was perfectly blue skies and around 70 today and havnt washed my car in 2 weeks.....so i said "self, today u gonna wash the car" and guess what....it rained for about 6 hrs. :th_sick1: i give up. tell me this happens to yall?lol.

I'll wash even if I know it's going to rain. It's good maintenance and keeps the paint healthy. It's about more than it looking good.

our 10 day forecasted clear skies for the next few days, I washed my car yesterday and it rained not even 6 hours after i finished.

There's always 2 things I can be sure of when I give the gp a wash
1. Rain
2. Neighbor mows his lawn when I'm trying to dry it off and it kicks up a ****load of dirt

I'll wash, wax, pink wax detail the whole car for about 3 hours when I know the forecast says it won't rain for the next week and then what happens? Yup........

I get discouraged to wash my car because all my hard work is gone :(

Yeah same here, I never wash it in the winter, it gets to the point where you can even see the paint on the bottom half of the car anymore, then I get to it. And then it's dirty 10 mins later.

All your hard work is not gone:

The wax is still there protecting your paint, specifically the clear coat. It's good maintenance to wash it, even if it gets rained on right after. If you don't wash it, the prolonged exposure to sitting dirt and particles is hell on your clear coat. That's how you get swirls, dull clear coat, and after a while peeling and fading.

I wax every other wash. If I'd use a good sealant, I wouldn't have to as often. It gets a claybar once a year at least.

man I gotta get some updated pics of my car, those untinted windows are ugly there tinted now and hopefully on income tax some 19 inch black rims with chrome lip and a black hood

Please don't put a black hood on a car that isn't back....
I like the idea of the rims though, that's kinda what I want except I'm not gunna go bigger than 18"

I hear that there is a bad drought going on in WEST TEXAS, and parts of CALIFORNIA. Maybe you could contract your GP out as a RAINMAKER to earn some $$$$$ for performance upgrades or pay for the warm vacation:th_mischievious: I know the feeling sometimes I think my 06 GT is a dirt magnet inside & out. Luckily I have a garage to keep the GT in but I have washed it then had to let it sit inside because of the incliment weather.:th_laugh-lol3:
