who hates ford

Um, I love my Ford truck. Ford makes the best trucks on the planet. :th_thumbsup-wink:

I do hate imports, most any import. Imports do suck.

this is one point i will defend i will take my 94 chevy base modle 1500 over my moms 02 f150 any day
and i have used them both to tow and haul the same loads

For what I know Ford did not sell themselves like chrysler. They sold off unprofitable companies that were owned by Ford but Ford is still Ford not Ford/whatever

What in the world? My posts on this thread were removed? What did I post that was offensive?

Hate is a very strong word. If I based all my GM info off the 1984 cavy my opinion of GM would be very different.

As far as fleet mechanics working on Fords a lot could that be because most of the vehicles in the fleet are Fords? We had a fleet of over 250 Dodges that hauled trailers all over the US. Guess what, we worked on Dodges 98% of the time. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm The 5 GMs with Mits motors in them. Everyone had to have the fuel rails, injectors and transmissions(allisons) repaired. The 10 Fords with 7.3s in them routine maintenance only.

That was my experiance with multiple brands in the fleet. What did we work on most? Dodges, because they are junk....oh wait.....the odds say we would work on more of them since they are the main in the fleet. Huhhhhhhhhh.

Not saying which is better then whom, but if you make a broad statement please supply all the information you are basing that choice on. Helps make a logical discussion instead of just name calling.

There is a MINT 92 SC Tbird near me. 90k for 3200. Good Deal? Ive always liked the look of them...

Besides my GP, I have a 1993 Ford F-150 short bed, 8 cylinder, and it is still running great! I like that Ford Motor Company was the only auto company that did not take any government bail-out and they pulled through. Besides that though, I would consider a Ford vehicle in the future but it would have to be really nice. I think many Ford vehicles look really cheap on the inside.

That depends on what mods if any have been done to it. Is it an auto or 5spd? Color? Price is a bit high IMO, but I haven't seen the car nor what all has been done to it. JBL sound system in it still? Leather, cloth or combination there of interior? Head gaskets been done? If so were FelPro gaskets used and or ARP head studs put in? ARC system still work? Honestly, unless it's in fantastic condition I would use that $ to go towards a 94/95 5spd.

www.sccoa.com is a great site to get information on the SC birds from. Hope that helps. Have any other questions about an SC let me know.

I see them pop up from time to time any where from 900 needing headgaskets to 2500 with decent miles and very clean

thought about picking one up and building it it would be an intresting race against my gp

I never used to appreciate Fords because I hadn't met any nice Ford fans. Honestly, I was never a fan of the Fords in my family (Windstar, Explorer, Taurus) because I didn't really dig how they drove (on the other hand, a SHO might change my mind on the Taurus). Can't really argue with the quality of a lot of mustangs, and I admit a mild hankering for a '71-ish Mach 1. I dig GMs for cheaper fixes and because I understand them better.... plus I like the interior comforts better than most other companies. All companies have junk cars and the occasional great one. I'd rather judge on a car-by-car basis, even if it is more fun to be a fanboy of a single company.

Get a 5spd. The autos in 94/95 would be ok, but J-mod to the tranny would greatly help.

We run GTPs Vs SCs twice yearly. Pretty sure Fords have won it almost every year. Bracket Racing. This year would of been fun with the Autorotors. The Birds do tend to weigh more and the GTPs are given a chance to cool down between runs and a chance to change out transmissions(j/k) All in all it's a good time.

anyone who says ford sucks is stupid. they seem to be doing everything right with their new cars honestly
