• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

who has new wheels? i have new wheels.

THAT IS NOT MY CAR.

i still have the WRX wing and my car is a lighter silver than that. that car is SGM, my car is CGM. i also have the stock 16" 5 spokes on mine.

it is going to take me so long to get rubber because i gotta pay the bills, son. i will be putting these wheels on next spring as well as a set of coilovers. im gonna scrape some frame with this thing. its never going to be fast, so why not make it awesome looking, right?

THAT IS NOT MY CAR.

someone should have highlighted that in the post... there I edited it, and made it even MORE obvious

I love the reading comprehension of people on the interwebz......:th_laugh-lol3:

I think this warrants a photo of your car, lol.

waaaaaay too many spokes. Why don't you get some white wall tires to go with it and just put it on air bags? lol

NOT BIOS CAR NOT BIOS CAR NOT BIOS CAR

its gonna look similair tho. so dont say TOO MANY SPOKES. cause its damn nice. and sexy. and its gonna be low and awesome...

get out of my thread with your asinine opinions.

me like...... what kinda rubber u gonna throw on them?

not sure yet, i havent looked really heavily into tires yet considering i dont have the money to pay for them at the moment. i was thinking i was gonna run a 235/35/19 on it, but we'll see. i would probably max out with a 245/35/19, but the price gap between 235 and 245 is retarded. i also want to make sure i have clearance for when i try and slam the car. rolling and pulling the fenders is probably on my list of things to do as well.

It was intentional just to piss off nick. :th_jester:

just to point this out:

the car in the picture has 18x8 wheels with a +37mm offset, but they seems to look lower like he put some spacers in as well. my wheels are 19x8.5 with a +45mm offset. my wheels will be bigger, but sit farther in the wheel well, allowing me to lower the car more without rubbing as much.

ive been talking with a vendor for coilovers and it looks like i can get a set of coilovers, extenders for the rear adjusters, and rear camber bolts for $1001 to my door. i am more than likely going to take this route in order to make sure i can get the stance that im looking for.

Thats a pretty good price for coils. I need to see it slammed.

It worked on me also.... :th_laugh-lol2:
I figured 3 posts in a row, that it had to be a joke. But you can never tell with some people these days.... some of which have the attention span of a gnat.

here is the same body style WRX as mine lowered on the coilovers that im planning on getting:

he isnt 'slammed' and i will probably be around this level unless i want to take some super low pictures for fun.

this is another WRX that is lowered a little farther:

this is an 05, but same color:

anyone getting the point here?

Question: Will the coilover suffer the same reduced handling that you would if you went with the springs and then continued to slam it?

the problem with lowering too far with these cars is that the camber curve goes way out of whack the lower you go. the suspension when compressed will have a retarded amount of camber when bottomed out and lowered completely. therefore, yes, it will still suffer handling problems, but i think the lack of body roll and lower center of gravity will make up for it.

my boy's WRX has the stance you want Bio, im going to see him tomorrow ill ask what his setup is

Yeah you can see the camber in the pictures, especially in the rear.

double-wishbone is the only suspension type that wouldnt have this issue.

ill be buying ANOTHER set of wheels tonight locally. pictures of those to come later tonight. if the tires are the right size, they will be on my car this weekend.

WINTER WHEELS!

here they are:

Picture004-4.jpg

and here is why i cant run them as is, besides that the tires are the completely wrong size:

Picture005-4.jpg

they are only 16s, but they look bigger than 16s and they look a million times better than the stock ones...
