Which model years have the same TB as my '99 GTP?

The guy I bought my car from managed to jack up the screw threading for half of the sensors attached to the TB so I've had half of it held on with zip ties for a little while now. Finally decided to go the junk yard a few days ago and I could only find one Grand Prix of any kind, and luckily it was a GTP coupe - same body style as mine. So I snatched its TB.

Spent half of this morning cleaning it, taking apart my GP and as I finished securing the replacement TB into place and went to drop my MAF down into it... I notice the MAF port isn't open like mine was.

****... :th_depressed:

Anyways, which cars can I pull from/is there some work around to my MAF work with this TB?

Thanks guys.

And that's for all V6 3800s? Because L67s are few and far between these days...

Also, I just noticed that the TB cleaner took off the marking that the junk yard put on the part so it looks like I'll be eating this one. :th_thumbsup-wink:

Not sure about the N/A 3800's. I know the S/C throttle body is different than N/A throttle body. I've seen quite a few L67's in the last couple of months while scrounging the yards. I just never see them in Grand Prix's. Because we live in old folks country, I've always seen them all in Regal GS's and Buick Ultra's.

I would still try returning what you have. Be honest and explain what happened. Probably just give you a credit. Better than nothing.

NA (L36) throttle bodies are very different. You need one from 99-03 from an L67.

The older ones 97 & 98 will work but as you noted, they use a different MAF sensor.

That's pretty crazy, try emailing them. I can't see them not having a TB in stock, lol. Probably just not listed.

If you can't find it on the Morad store, call them. I bought a couple of things from him that weren't listed but he had them in stock.

Grabbed one earlier on eBay for $45-shipped. Only $5 more than my out the door price at the scrap yard. Shoulda just done this originally.
