Where will the space shuttles end up? Not the where they should...

Being from Ohio "birthplace of aviation" I would really like to see one of the shuttles come here also the National U.S. air force museum is here so it seems like a no brainer to me. I think Kennedy or the Space Center Houston tourist stop next door to Johnson Space Center should get one to share and that leaves one left since the Smithsonian is already getting one well a new one, I think the last one then should go to the Museum of Flight in Seattle and then that would equally spread out the shuttles around the country for more people to see them.

But where do you guys think they should go if you care?

I thought we would all be able to go to the moon by now and have flying cars, but what they say and what happens tends to be a huge difference.

They should be placed "around" the US, too inspire kids and let them know where the information they have came from.

Idk exactly, but I think an awesome tribute to flight would be to place one right next to a replica (or the real thing) of the Wright Brother's original plane.

Re: Where will the space shuttles end up?

this is news to me?

Man...... makes sense that the shuttles are being retired considering their age.

But no replacement?

That would be awesome if dayton got one i'd like to take the kids down there this summer sometime.

Re: Where will the space shuttles end up?

Umm massive payloads as in building materials and supplies! Not so much people, but people will still have to go. The US has talked about building on the moon for a long time.
