Wheel speed sensor

So my question is .... is the wheel speed sensor the same as the abs one? I just got a OTC 9450 which I recommend to anyone it reads CEL/SRS/ABS lights. Now I feel I can do anything :D. Anyways my trac light is on and it says service stability and traction on DIC and its on because of the driver front speed sensor. Can i just replace the sensor or replace the whole hub assembly? IF I do replace the hub what is a good one to get?

You have to replace the entire hub in order to fix the sensor. All one part. Get either a Timkin or SKF brand of hub. Run about $100 or so. Check Rock Auto for it.

So now I have my hub. I decided to check the code again. Now it says this C0197 Yaw Rate Circuit Range/Performance . Where can I find this sensor ? It no longer says Left Front wheel speed sensor. I've googled it and I've just been able to find what it does.

It said the df ws sensor before? I'd change it just for good measure and delete the other code and see what comes back up. I had a girl come to me once with 15 abs codes. I fixed her one wss and deleted the other codes and none came back. abs is weird sometimes.

well I figured I'd do it anyway since its my first repair since getting the car... I replaced it and cleared the codes. TC light came back and it still says service Stability/TC system, Stability/TC off. Read code it says C0197 as before.

...I might just leave it for now. If I do need to replace the sensor, rock auto has it for 230, lol. It doesn't effect drivability.

***update yaw sensor is located under the center console
