Whats wrong with cops?



It all very much depends on the city you live in and the mood of the officer at the time. I know I'm very polite to all of them. Except last time I got pulled over I laughed at the cop but that's. Another story. The city I used to live in they wouldn't pull you over for anything. Moved about ten miles north with my mom into the city just north of Rockford. The cops were a bit more strict. Now I'm living almost another 10 miles from my moms in Rockton and my god the cops are insanely strict. One night that I had gone home for lunch. And on my way home one of the cops pulls me over (had my lancer at the time) and he asks me if I know why he pulled me over. I had no idea why, cause I wasn't speeding, no tint, nothing. So he tells me its cause I "slightly crossed over the center line" the bad part was I laughed and asked if he was serious. Then he went on his rant, asking if I've been drinking nad my response was, no I'm only 19 and I'm on my way home on lunch from work. So he went and wrote me a warning and sent me on my way. Now that is just having nothing better to do lol

I drive on the other side of the road all the time... Parking cars on BOTH sides of a two lane road is just ratarded :th_nervous:

Its not illegal, just stupid. :th_thumbsup-wink:
 
I swear tint must just be a completely subjective thing for police. I've had 5% on the mustang since the first week we have owned it (wife's car) she gets pulled over freequently for dumb things but never once for tint. Indiana is 20% for being legal iirc. I had 5 on my car before my GS and no trouble either. Plently of speeding tickets but not for tint.

It was because of the car. No cops look at me now. I could get away with pretty much anything now. That's a good example of some major profiling.

But another good thing is. There are only 3 cops in my town. And they see me constantly. I need to get on their good sides lol.

its just another way for te state to make money, city cops dpnt care too much about tint, but staties will get you for the stupidest things, like TINT.
 
I think some don't do enough work and I think some overwork it. Some are complete assholes, unprofessional. Like one got an attitude with me and called me, "son". I prefer to be shown same respect and professionalism as I show them. Police or not, nobody has the right to ***** at me. Do your job, issue ur ticket and you won't hear a bad comment from me. Not saying I won't be pissed about a ticket but I have enough maturity to keep it to myself.

I hear ya, I had a brand new 03 Grand Am 4 DOOR!! with tint, in a small town, so I was a drug dealer, cuz I made my car look good, and it had tint!
 


no, I was not a dealer...lol, but thats what everyone said, cuz everybody else drove redneck hillbilly wagons, and cookie cutter chev pickups with bluebottles.
 
Cops in my town are dicks. I got pulled over for not having a front plate. ****er turned around, followed me town 2 side streets, then down another main road. And 2 miles later finally decided to stop me. Guess wht no ticket. He did it cause he was bored, asshole.

I just know that if your windows were all the way down then there is no way possible for them to give you a ticket or make you roll up the windows.
i would fight it.
 
I skimmed through this thread and noticed the large veriety of how their local cops react to this tint subject. I realize the law changes based on the location but it is truely up to the cop whether or not he wants to make a fuss about it or not. Prime example is my town in Central MN. For years I have been running tint on all my rides ranging from 50% all around down to 5% all around. I have gotten pulled over for it twice in about 15yrs. 1st time I had 20% on my side windows of my S10 lowrider...pulled me over after midnight on an unlight street and measured it from his meter and used the lights from his car....yeah what a joke...but I was a youung kid with a ride that stuck out from the crowd.
2nd time I had 50% all around and it was on a dodge neon rt. (racing stripes, rims, exhaust etc..) cop argued that they were illegal on that....mind you MN law is 50%...again I was still young with a car that stuck out from the crowd.
Since then I have had a Grand cherokee Limited with 20% all around pretty much stock with minimal (visual) mods and been driving it for nearly 7yrs. in the same town....no problems. Bought an 07 GXP recently and its from CA and its got about 5% all around....been a few weeks....no problems.
In fact now evey new squad car that my county has gotten, which has been nearly 10 now have all got atleast 20% tint all around on them...Now explain that $h!t!! lol
So I say piss off cop'r if you can do it so can I lol ( i better go knock on some wood now lol) either way I agree there should not be a law against tint....basically pointless just something else to try and control the public....ne ways thats my 2 cents on the subject... Good day 2 u!
