whats the dumbest comment someone said about your grand prix

So not necessarily a "prix" story. but I'm having a discussion with one of my best friends. He has a 4 cyl 2012 Audi A4 "stage 1" car. Then he starts talking about going "stage 2" or "stage 3"(I don't remember), but doesn't know if he wants to spend like $2000 on exhaust. I told him that exhaust is just tubing and that he could get a comparable exhaust setup from a good exhaust guy and could even get mandrel bends and everything for much less. Then he starts telling me that the exhaust this company sells for his Audi has "special" exhaust that maintains the same diameter tubing and that it's better than other exhausts and that a local place couldn't do the same thing because they don't have "special equipment" that's required to do the optimal exhaust stuff. At this point I was just done. I said, "well, yeah, then if the exhaust is that much better, you should probably buy it". My guess is that in the next 6 months he'll put about 3k or so in his car to step up to the next "stage" or however they work for his platform. Ironically this guy is one of my only friends that actually likes cars and pays attention to the auto industry, but I can't stand to talk about cars with him.

The only way I can see my gto looking like my Grand Prix is the front clip. Any other angle no way.

Reasonable fact for you guys. You could only get grand Prixs in 2003 in a two door because gm was saying the gto was going to be a Grand Prix . They did this all to speed up the time of all the regulations and importing of the gto . That's why the changed the front clip. They had to move the gas tank to the trunk because of safety regulations

its all we talk about on the gto forum, you would be surprized. I had a guy say, nice car, i really don't care for them though. i asked why. he said cuz its a front wheel drive 6 cyl.

i do get called grand prix alot

another guy asked me what it was, i said a gto. he said whats that? i said well, its a holden monaro imported from australia to pontiac here, he then asked but what is it, a hemi? i said no its an Ls2, he said a ford? i said no, i imported it from australia, just to shut him up

LMAO, wow im guessing they dont know crap about cars then. I wonder if that guy that you talked to knew what a Hemi even is, I really dont get him getting a LS2 from Ford.

BTW your GTO looks pretty sick in you sig, You make a ride thread, love to check it out. My bro is a die hard GTO guy, he loves the old 69 GTO Judge.
 
Those gtps are slow. Stock civics si are faster and run 15 sec. 1/4 miles ( some retard at work that thinks civics are gods gift to earth)

Oh not to mention he says the only thing they are good for is grocery getters. I said yup 300 hp 14 second quarter mile grocery getter.
And its impossible that the worlds fastest grand prix is 890 hp or w/e and that i couldnt make a 6 cyl push over 400 hp

Well since Stealthee posted... I have to post.

About a year ago my "weird" neighbor seen me at a grocery store. Said he loved my car, and blah blah blah. Then he said if he owned the car he would have ground effects put on and underglow. So at first I was like.....

Bring us to current. They bought a '98 Stealth. My buddy is a mechanic, and is putting a new clutch in it. They told him they were going to put ground effects and underglow on it so they can have a better car than their neighbor, me.

Low and behold earlier today I got a knock and door bell ring from the back door. The neighbor had his wife showing her my car, saying what they wanted to do to their Stealth. Asked if the SE lip was aftermarket or OEM. Yadda yadda yadda... what do we have to do to make our Stealth look like your car.
