So after a conversion I had earlier involving steaks and what not with texastanker I decided a thread on the topic would be awesome.

Basically the gist of this thread is to list your recipes and tips for cooking good food. I have a really good 1 time a year cake recipe I'll put up shortly...but I think it has a weeks worth of calories and sugar per slice.

I just wanna start making better food...not necessarily healthy if ya know what I mean

Also tell what ya eating

Re: Fat people thread

There are many heart clogging things I like. Will have to look up some actual recipes. I usually just wing it when I cook (mainly BBQ, smoked)
Two of my favorite things though is good salt and good butter.

Re: Foodie people thread

Barracks SOP states blah blah blah. If you get a smoker keep it at a buddies house, if you keep it in the barracks people will piss on or in it....well that's what these Army fvckers do here anyways.

Ye I've got place to keep stuff...and we grill at his house weekly anyways lol. And yea people are stupid especially on weekends

Re: Foodie people thread

Earlier when I was talking about the butter on the steak while cooking, kinda like this, but let the butter melt into just as your about to take it off the heat source.

Re: Foodie people thread

Woops.. May have overreacted there. Sorry man.

grilling/smoking is my favorite also. In the wintertime tho I never grill. Still cook almost everyday, nothing too crazy tho.

Red meat we crave sustenance! (Twister anybody?)

Must be nice to eat early...wait your on the east coast, carry on I have to wait til 1730. Also must be nice to run, I can't (screws in lower back). I have replaced PT with food, gotta be good at something huh!!

Well I aye at 1600 right when chow hall opened for dinner. But I'm training for a marathon I wanna run before I deploy. So high protein and Carb diet along with tons of healthy stuff I despise and on Friday nights enough beer to fill a pool. I'm hoping to continue to get more good food ideas for my meals
