What tire size do you run on 18" wheels?



I know this is an old thread but i found some 18x8 40mm offset wheels with 235/40 R18 tires. Will this look/fit ok? I know 245/45 is the recommended size but its a good deal... What do u guys think?
 
You wouldnt want to run that size. It's roughly 5% smaller, half inch smaller tire side wall and your speed would be off by 4-5 mph.

Buy said rims, install new tires and sell old tires to atleast make something back.
 
Yeah, you'd be 1.34" shorter than factory tire. As said, if you want the rims, buy them then sell the tires and buy the right size.
 


Craigslist.. Yeah that only has a chance of working out.. otherwise im stuck with some nitto motivo tires. I would rather just run them and have my speedo be off than have them sit on the garage while i pay for new ones
 
255/45-18 35+mm offset. Is what I run.

A few years ago I bought charger 18" rims with tires that were too big but had plenty of tread. Sold the tires for $150 used that money to buy cheap used tires to mount on the rims.
