What spark plugs/wires should I get?

I'm looking to get some good decent spark plugs/wires for my 2005 GP GT. I don't want the cheap stuff so i'm in the middle between cheap and performance plugs/wires. I was looking at some AC Delco Wires which are $43.99 & AC Delco 41-101 Plugs which are $6.99 a piece. How well do these perform to others brands and also what other plug/wires do you guys suggest for a GP?

Depends on ur mods man...Many recommend the simple stock GM wires and 605 plugs or 104(i think). The GM wires arent as pretty under the hood as the red ones you see often but ive been told there better than the others sold at zzp

I'd use the stock stuff. It is $6.99 per plug and wires are around $45 = ~$87 But if you go online to amazon, they have the same plugs for 5.93 each, and the same wires for $26.82. Also there's a rebate for AC Delco plugs to save $2 per plug, which is a lot. You'd spend around $50 instead. Links:

And if you're removing the dog bone bolts and rocking the engine forward - make sure you haven't broken anything in the process. I found out the hard way to not pull on stuff when you don't know its purpose. I ended up having to replace a broken MAP sensor (1 of 2) for our cars.

The guys on here helped me out very much. Be gentle as possible - except when removing the stock wires, cuz that aint' possible.

I used ac delco 41-101 plugs and NGK blue jacket wires. Runs and accelerates better than the last set of new delco wires

Been through a few sets of wires and plugs, OEM (Bocsh type wires) seem to be the best for me so far. There's other wires that claim to be this and that but at the end of the day they aren't. Looks are one thing but longevity and durability is everything (please dont go for those $125 PRJ wires unless you plan on never taking them off, it's a bi**h & not worth it).

Plugs, I settled for the NGK V-Power TR6 #4177(these are 2 heat ranges colder so get the ones that fit your mods, maybe the TR55.Same plug just one heat range colder), instant difference, smooth acceleration, and no more dead spots and hesitations.

If you want a lil style go with the Taylor wires from PFYC.com. Not sure about everybody else but they lasted me about 5yrs(still had life I only changed them bc of the simple fact that they were old).

Dee....

i would stick with the stock plugs for sure they work the best been there done that with the supposid high performace plugs with the 3.8's and they dont like ne thing else!!!!!!!!!
