What size tires should I get?

I got a new set of 18's. The have 225/40/18 on them right now and there way too small. I know everyone says to get 245/45/18 but I did find a good deal on a set of 225/45/18's. I live by alot of pot holes and want thick enough tires to where i dont bend or crack a rim. What size should i get?

245/45R18's have bigger sidewalls than 225/45R18's so it seems the right size would be a better choice.

if you are worried about pot holes, stick with 16's, or 17's. I have 18's for the summer, and 16 for the winter

Its pretty much as close as you can get..lol


look on ebay. 245/45 are cheap. I got my nexens for $300
