• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What now???

I've narrowed it down to a bad maf, iac, some lines and t splitter thing they connect to,and maybe more idk yet but what's the t on the vacuum line under the sc called

its called a vacuum T. advance auto sells the best ones i could find. they are small and white. they come 2 per pack for about 2 bucks.

you can buy a new T its all plastic, use 3, 1 inch or so long cut pieces of new vac line, to put on the T, to the port under the snout, then slide the stock plastic lines into the other sides of the vac lines on the T.

i just ran new vac tubing. got rid of the stock plastic lines.

the line under the snout leads to the map sensor.

Here's the culprit, found out why it wasn't starting with the 03 3.1 map,my plug is broke on my 00 gtp and was allowing the plug to go in anyway,on the 03 sensor the plug is made upside down so I had to flip my plug upside down and stick it in it,runs perfect now,I had a old throttle body from the 03 3.1 and needed a iac so I took it off it and put on mine and now it's running somewhat better, can somebody direct me to the correct map for a 00 pontiac go gtp,the Internet dosent specify

go to any parts store web site, enter your car info, search for the map sensor. take that part # and search the rest of the web.

rock auto should have a oem, acdelco brand with part # listed.

How will the hose fit the vacum t and the small thing that is near the coil packs since its little and the pipe has to be sort of big for the t or did you use kinda small t

spit in the vac tube, force it on the metal tube off the lim under the snout, it will fit.

i used pretty small T's. they fit the vac line perfectly. bring a old chunk of line inside the store with you, match it up, or ask the guy for a inch long piece to test fit, they should have no problem doing that for you. stuff is dirt cheap. cents per foot.
