What is This ???

SuperChargedGTP

New member
Found a parts car locally that had this weird contraption mounted to the side of an after market air box, The top has a boost line going to the supercharger housing tapped in with a compression fitting, The bottom has an electrical plug going to various spots spliced in the harness, Did not take a really good look to as where they were going but may have been toward the cooling fan relays, Is this an electric motor for some sort of cooling?? Never seen anything like this..

Water or methanol injection maybe? Where is the supercharger case tapped, and is there another line from that bottom of that thing in the picture?

From what I remember it's taped in the front side closer to the throttle body, nothing coming from the bottom no, boost line coming from too and harness right behind it, it's not far from me, I'll grab it, the car didn't really have from what I seen any other supporting mods, stock pulley, stock exhaust other than warped crossover pipe, I'll have a better look

Menthol injection eh? What gains from this, so what would have this been wires up too to run and why a heat sink around this thing??

it's a chemical intercooler.

they tend to not work super well for an m90 application so they're best use as a light mist to help deter burst knock.

Wow, new to me, worth grabbing tho, looks like they had to drill and tap a hole to install, not sure what is all there that has to do with this kit?

what mods do you have? do you have KR? do you have a tuner? Personally i would exhaust (pardon the pun) all supporting mods before using water injection. if you built everything right and still need a kick to reduce Kr then yes use the water injection.

Cold air intake in, just ordered zzp 3" down pipe with cat, may or may not also buy their power log, and have a 3.5" pulley to install after supporting exhaust mods, I've never scanned the car for KR before
