What is Rice?

Someone needs to install one of these on a GP:

those were all over 20 years ago, a friend had a 70 road runner, he cut the hood so that scoop was just over the hood, and had the linkage hooked up. no guessing if he was full throttle or not with that set up.

and there was a late 60's chevelle that was air bushed on the sides, QUAD ZILLA. it had no hood, ever that i saw, bb chevy, with a huge ass blower, tunnel ram, and dual quads up top, and that scoop. all chromed out. it was tubed, full cage, but all show car, i dont know if he ever ran it, wasn't a friend. i just saw it all the time as a kid. left a burnt image in my brain, it was a sick set up.
 
Lulz @ you guys, and the OP trying to get all deep and philosophical about the meaning of "rice". To be, or not to be...that is the question.

If you think a late model Grand Prix can ever be Muscle, you don't know the definition of a Muscle car.

Rice to me is anyone who puts a ton of CHEAP ****ty lights, bolt ons, stick ons, etc on a car that doesn't go anywhere. Also, if you say that your GP is fast or try to race everyone when you don't have a 3.2 pulley or less on a Gen III, you are a ricer. Or if you post hella sweet stories in the kill section about how you barely beat something else that is slow then had a cop tell you how awesome your car is, not only are you a ricer, but also a ritard.

So just because I have a 3.4 pulley on my car and think its fast make me a ricer? Most ignorant statement I've read in a whole.

well no...the fact that you have a 3.4 on there doesnt mean you are rice.
you are rice because you think its fast. because its probably a high 13 second car.

If you think a 3.4 gen III car is fast, you sould really go to a local dragstrip and see what quick cars are running. NOT FAST, Quick.
 
I'm just saying that because my car might not be fast or quick, but I think it is doesn't make it rice or me a ricer.
