those engines r very reliable!!! i am a honda mechanic and trust me when i say that if u keep maintenance up that engine will run u up past 300,000 easily

but make sure to find out if the timing belt has been done recently. the timing belt is suppose to get done every 100,00 and if not they r well known to snap then your ****ed lol

It's a 'Lude...most of the time it is the same motor that is in the CB7 accord if it is the same generation.

That looks to be a SOHC 2.2 non-VTEC, which would be an F22...some of them had a VTEC version which was the F23...hence VTEC, 2 cams, and .1 more liters of displacment. Last I checked...all the H Series, H22 and H23...were DOHC motors...but maybe I am wrong...I didn't think the H-Series came out until the mid to later 90's. That motor is still using the PGM FI...and I don't even think that's the PGM FI II...

thanks for replies.. im gonna get it... just gotta wait on the title.. the car was towed by my friend during a highway patrol stop and the owner never came and picked it up. its got decent 2 tone silver and black paint job with tinted tails and 5 speed for 1500 bucks... in good shape for being an older car. was just curious if it had been swapped.

Yeah keep it stock, f22's have little wheels inside with hamsters to produce engine power. Save your money and drop an H22 into it down the road. No sense wasting money modding a f22.
