• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What happens if dex and green mixed?

That is also what I used to top up my cooling system that still has dex cool in it. I would like to know if that stuff^ is better than the original dex cool that came with the car as it was new(Will it clump when mixed with original green coolant?). I will be flusing it all out in the spring, and am planning on using the Prestone universal.

This one in the photo is a dexcool only. I never used a universal. That's what he added to my green cool (that I spent 100$ for completely flushing the system)

Dexcool and green are nearly identical nowadays but Dex provides better protection for our motors.

Personally I would say dexcool. There's a reason your entire engine warranty is immediately gone if you put anything else in it.

But if bill says it doesn't matter your probably fine either way.

i can send you a picture of it...i have to flush it because i didnt do a full on hose that crap out flush...now i pay for it!

This is the result of mixing the two. I ended up flushing out the cooling system on this impala with the 3.8.

Hey Raver...I saw that thread about your exhaust being smokey. I know what the issue is. Get that coolant flushed and corrected asap.

(No one tell him I'm lying to him. It's been a couple weeks and he promised to get this fixed. Now it'll be fixed)

Lol. It's the other car. But thank u for reminding me :)

Right.. the other car is having the issue because sometimes it's parked near this car. Dude.. are you new to cars? They have feelings and share symptoms. Kinda like you get a cold and pass it on to a friend.
