• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! What happened to TDC Racing???



BTW.... I personally took care of officially banning TDCracing from the Kansas City boards this weekend. One less GP community to try and pull this crap on.

It was a A, but I do stand corrected.

But it seems my memory of my own projects has failed me instead. My wife found that paper down in the basement and it says and I quote: "... drinking a fruit flavored punch laced with highly concentrated amounts of potassium cyanide..."

I read every page and every single post in this thread, and all I have to say is wow. :th_lipssealed2:

He had a good reputation on the forums I thought, and a good thing running with the community here. I was truly happy for him. Regardless of what happened in real life, and what was all said in this thread, there will never be a recovery of his name I feel now. Once you earn trust, and break that trust, it will take an awful lot to redeem yourself again. Because of his lack of communication, and letting things get a little too far out of hand, he finished himself from ever being a patron ever again.


Everything you posted in this thread American Soldier I agreed with. You spoke truth, and spoke since, and said the things I would of suggested to everyone else to do. Paypal (or method of payment claim first) then contact the local Police for his area, and let them take it from there. If it was an isolated incident that's one thing that can be settled through PayPal easy enough, sh!t happens sometimes. But because of the scale of things, and the estimated dollars at hand that add up to well over felony charges, it was more than a simple accident in my opinion, I have a feeling it was deliberate and the Police should be involved. He will have to explain himself to them to avoid charges for what he did to you all. Regardless if you all got your money back or not...the fact of the matter is it still happened, the crime was committed, he did make things right yes, but in my opinion should nobody ever just walk away from this. But that's not for me to decide.

Ya know what, the only comment that I read that made perfect since. WE are are family here, this is a CLUB and this IS NOT A BUSINESS like CGP was ran. We all know of one and other, and we should all trust one and other, no reason why we should not since we are closer than CGP members. That's why many of us have left the other forum (some not by choice;)) to join the new ones because we all knew what was wrong with it, but could not change things because the way the forum was ran.

I have to say I am both disgusted and proud. Disgusted that this happened, and proud that this was settled.

I just have to say in spite of the comment that read in here that read something along the lines of "just goes to show you that you cant trust everyone". Because of this problem that has occurred, I can feel that many would be weary and hesitant to ever trust another member on here in the future.

I can guarantee you all, and put it in writing, and this is not a shameless plug of any kind here, I, myself will never pull a stunt like this ever. Only way anything remotely close to this would ever happen is if I died and had several shelf's worth of people work done to left to do. But I can die happy knowing that because of the wonderful family I have, and local members I am friends with that are in my extended family, I know after I am long gone, the loose ends would be taken care of by them to sort things out to get everyone their stuff back one way or another.

From now on, we will all carry this in the back of our minds every time we make a transaction from one member to another, which is sad I know. But moving on, we should get past this, we are a tight knit community, where everyone knows everyone, and many know somebody on a personal level. That's why I am happy to say I am a proud member here. You all stuck together, and that's what family's do.

Gr8 you made a good point ....I agree with everything you said. Also..people shouldn't allow this to affect them buying things...if anything could show that "WE" will not stand for this! And if you mess with one you mess with all!!! I believe everyone did what they could to help out the ones who was getting "scammed" or whatever you wanna call it!! Apart of me still wants him to get on here and explain as to why he did this. But from the looks of everything I doubt he comes back..and if he does he won't be as TDC...and going threw the net seems as if we arent the only "group" he did this to! Im just glad to see people are getting there money back and also the fact that other members stood up and tried to help.
 
Here's my TDCRacing story: back in April, after seeing something I made in a picture in one of my posts, Parker contacted me--here on GPF through PM--about the idea of producing reuseable M90 gaskets made from silicone sheet material, to be sold through his webstore.

I explained that he would have to price them such that not only would materials (and future raw material cost increases) and shipping be covered, but that we also both made enough profit to keep it interesting. He wanted to sell them essentially at cost, arguing that he didn't want to "gouge" like the (here unnamed) online vendors. Furthermore, he wasn't willing to go halvsies on the raw materials to get up and going on the project.

I passed on this "opportunity." I could see right away the man had no business acumen.

(I do believe he did actually bring something like that to market afterwards, though he did not ask (or even tell) me he was going to steal my idea, nor would he give me the specs on the silicone sheet material he was using when I asked for it. So I could see he had no scruples, either.)

I also (thankfully) passed on the "opportunity" to buy my Frozenboost items through TDCRacing back in April, using Parker's (claimed) approved vendor discount. Dodged a bullet there, 'cause the real ****storm on this guy happened shortly thereafter...

So, what to believe about Parker?

1) Was he truly, as he frequently stated, interested in providing low-cost modding solutions to the GP/3800 community--but ignorant to the fact that he had to keep people happy and make a reasonable profit in the process, or else his efforts would be unsustainable? In other words, just a young kid who got in way over his head?

2) Or, was this all an elaborate scam, where low-cost, "small" items (like CAI's and gaskets) could be used to "build a rep," upon which he could rake in some big paydays on items he never intended to ship (or were mis-represented, or never even had)?

3) Or, did he simply become a crack addict / meth head?

I am inclined to believe 1), since, as I understand it:
a) He was providing low-cost CAI's for some time to relatively satisfied customers.
b) The "payday" he might have acheived (a few grand?) hardly seems worth the time and effort involved.
c) He is now personally providing refunds. (Do I understand that correctly?)

But I will say this: it has been well-known for some months that he didn't have the wherewithal to stand by what he sold (note the mis-matched brake kits, and I believe the links to the cracked heads and busted trans he sold back around May have already been provided in this thread). Also, how anyone could believe that some 19-year old kid in his basement could sustainably undercut established vendors on identical, new, brand-name merchandise (like Aeroforce gauges) is beyond me.

The red flags were all over this guy, but people kept sending him money anyway.

So, as Gr8racingfool suggested, use this whole fiasco as a lesson. Like mama told you, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

And while it might be pissing in the ocean at this point, Parker seemed quite proud of his iTrader status here on GPF. Make sure you update that for him.

Mine still says the same. Someone posted earlier that it takes something like 4-7 days to clear. It should be coming soon.

With the Aeroforce gauges I thought the price was kind of suspect, but Aeroforce recently updated the gauge with removable bezels and that required new hardware revisions. I thought maybe he got a hold of some of the older stock that places may have sold for cheap to clear out for the newer ones. Then someone posts that Todd at Aeroforce was feeling that this was fishy and you know that isn't good. :th_wtf:
 
no banning, he needs a chance to come back an explin just incase this is just an overblown personal issue.. get your money back and be done with it..
