• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What do you do for a living/going to school for

this is all kinds of true. if you want to make a lot of money then this is the wrong career by far unless you work yourself to the bone. i cant complain about my pay in the least (since im 24 and all), but ill never make an extreme amount of money as to where i could buy everything i want whenever i want.

GT brags most of their ME students get 60k out of the gate. i consider that damn good money for 22. i'm also thinking about going back for my masters in international business. my boss is 31 and i know his salary is over 100k. engineering management, for real.

i bet you $100 you dont make $60k out of the door. my school promoted $50-55k out the door and i started at $43k at my first job.

Werd.

Do your research before believing the numbers the school throws at you. Find out what the majority of people are starting at, not the top 5%, cause you won't be in that group.

yea i know a few uti , wyotech guys working at pepboys and vato zone that regret going

I know a dude that got a job right out of wyotech (in Wyoming) that scored a job in a Ferrari/Audi dealership in Florida (Tampa or Miami, I think)... He went the Audi track and had a great time in the school. I think he started at $27/hr.... something crazy like that....

..another Army guy here. I've been around.... my job changes every year or two... done a lot, had fun doing it and can't believe I get paid to do it!

..haven't used any of the degrees that I went to school for either.... :)

i hope to god i get to use my degree lol otherwise ill feel like i wasted my time

That's why I didn't pay much attention in class, because I knew this was going to happen... but that's because I'm not in industry/civilian sector.

It's just part of the life of being a Soldier. Most of the stuff it OJT, or at the school within the Army.

I have a degree in Economics from a College, but the Army has formally taught me Civil Engineering, demolition, rocket science (well, orbital mechanics), and electronic warfare (kinda like EE).

I'm going to apply to get a masters in Space Operations, but I'll never use it either.... until I retire... good thing it's not going to cost anything!

The Army has been gooood to me :)

I work full time for the largest Ice company in the USA.

I go to college part time, 3 - 6 hours a semester. Just going for a Bachelors in Business, then figure out what I want to do from there.

Spare time, help everyone with their polishing, plating, and powder coating needs on the car forums.
