• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Now I have to polish them to get them shiny again. Not sure how to do that, but I'll look into it.

if i have polished alloy wheels what should i use for polish?

When you say alloy do they have a clear coat on top of them? If it's a clear coat then you really can't polish the metal. You could clay/cut/buff/wax the clear coat to get it to shine again.

i think they do have a clear coat on them. so just use a quarter of clay and clean them and then buff wax them?

Wow that looks awesome, like new. My rims look really good already, its just the areas where the 5 spokes meet the rim where the corrosion took its toll. I got the corrosion off, I'll just pick some of that stuff up to make them shine again. Thanks for the advice.

I have been waxing my rims at least once a month since we have salt here in Michigan.

thats why i park my GXP.. MN puts more salt on the roads than sand. and that de-icing **** probably isn't any better for cars.

Well I can't afford 2 cars. I see a post on craigslist for 4 steel 5 spoke GP rims I could always use as a winter set.

How do I find out whether or not mine have a clear coat? I have the standard 97-03 5 spoke aluminum GP rims.

Just pulled my rear valve cover on the comp g. No loose parts so I'm thinking bad lifter. Put the exhaust back on the gtp and looked at the holes in my floor.
