The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Shopping around for parts today. New LHR window trim is $55 from GMPartsDirect. New LHR tire is about $130 from Nexen. TB is $140 from From RockAuto. . Not too happy about these expenses. Some parts will have to wait a while. $$$
been there before, sucks.....my 03 GMC the locks used to freeze up all the time in the doors. so id always make sure i had a lighter to heat the key up to thaw the lock and make it work.
So are you just doing it by hand or when power tools? I've done mine by hand but only down to like 1,000 grit, still shines but nothing close to that. I just havent taken the effort to make it more shiney.
I took my belt sand and removed all the carbon and huge scratches. Then sanded by hand up to 2000 wet sand sand. Then hit with the mothers polish and bam really shiny exhaust tips.
I get to break out some paper and go back over mine, her tips are blackened over. Scheduled for an oil change and tire rotation after work, with a basic cleaning while I'm treating her so might as well clean up the tail end while I'm in the mood.
I roughed mine up to silver but never bothered to stage it to a mirror finish, just a bright aluminum look... didn't last long, felt ...meh about redoing the process. Figure its high time I do it.
Well I started doing a through detailing on it. Sprayed the outside down for not to get dirt off and a good wash and wax will be Friday when I get home to TN. The interior is super clean and nice now. Put some conditioner on the leather as well and its amazing how conditioner makes the colors come out
