What did you do to your Car today?

thats my main reason for not liking the sun roof, the sun beating in on you just adds heat. and its blinding. thank god mines a moon roof with a slider to shut the sun out all together.

I ripped my slider out when I wrapped my headliner and couldn't get it back in for the love of god I just threw it out and had my sunroof tinted..mission accomplished :)

yeah, some 5% tint would seal out the sun real nice.

i was thinking of doing it when i was tinting my car and blew it off. i still have a slider lol :p

Well I'm leaving my car at my parents house until Monday night.. :( But on the bright side I get my dads 05 Silverado Z71 for the next 2 days! :D

Its got 4wd. Id take it over my GP everyday. Gas mileage is the only kicker with it. Honestly I wanted a truck but at this time it didn't make a lot of sense to have one being in college and all.

Just drove 400 miles this morning with it on about $35 in gas. I don't even think my GP would of did that good lol. Not worrying about curbing my rims. Bottoming out is a great feeling.

If there is a slider, that makes it a moonroof?

Either way it is nice to cruise with it up. If my car came without that option I wouldn't be bothered one bit. Since it did though, I'm going to use it. Not using it (IMO) is like having big bewbs in front of you and not motorboating. just sayin..

Same boat i'm in. Was looking at a few trucks and then the gxp popped up and i decided to change my thoughts about being in school in the city with a truck vs. a car. wish i would of went with a truck some days here with the snow and all.

Moonroof slides into the roof sunroof pops up

this is the best ive ever seen this described. What's the difference between a sunroof and a moonroof?

"Sunroof" is the generic term used to describe an operable panel in a vehicle roof which can let in light and/or air. "Moonroof" is a term created by Ford in the 70s, yet is now used generically to describe glass panel inbuilt electric sunroofs.
Hmmm, so all moonroofs are sunroofs, yet not all sunroofs are moonroofs? We found further clarification -- "sunroof" is the term originally used to describe a metal panel that would only allow light or air in when opened. A "moonroof," on the other hand, is a glass panel that can allow light in even when it is closed (provided, of course, you slide back that nifty fabric-covered panel to expose the glass).
True sunroofs, those made just of metal, appear to have gone the way of 8-tracks in automobiles, and these days, most "sunroofs" are really "moonroofs" -- panels of tempered glass, usually tinted, that tilt up to allow a flow of air, or slide back into the roof entirely, giving the car occupants a brief but tantalizing glimpse of life in a convertible.
