got me paranoid now.. I just did my front rotors and pads last weekend, but used never seize on the bracket bolts and then tapped tight with a 3lb mall...think I should probably lock-tite em? maybe back em out a bit and slam some lock-tite in..
The factory bolts come with lock-tite on them. I had one back completely out. Thankfully it was the lower one so gravity kept it back. Had it been a top one it would have fell forward and jammed in the wheel. There was a rash of incidents of those bolts coming lose at the time mine first happened.
Ralm, your car looks pretty rust free. Those rocks love to rot out pretty bad right behind the fender. It doesn't matter how that weld looks, no one will ever see it. I would of picked up a fender that needed zero body work. They are a dime for a dozen around here.
my aunt's car the bolts backed out.
now stealth, if I could, ask how long it was AFTER you had put the bolt in that it backed itself out? I just did brakes as well (and I've had em off a million times before that) and I've never used loctite or anything. What's your opinion?
Right there with ya on original battery. I've got a battery that's almost 7 years old. Still just fine

Mine worked fine except it died if I let it sit 4 days. Which is usual. I wanted something with more reserve.
Mine actually set for three weeks without being used while I was doing some training. Started right up no problameo
