• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Delivered papers this morning with the front seat removed and the air bag sensor. I thought it was just a sensor for the passenger side, but nope, SRS light stayed on. So back it goes. The floor was smoother without it, but one less light on the dash telling me something is wrong is better. The big test will be how no front passenger seat goes on a Sunday, in preparation for the largest paper of the year on Thanksgiving...

Was 10 ft away from hitting a 10 point buck today. Reminded me two weeks ago my dad almost hit a deer with his base GP and found out he didn't have ABS pretty fast. Kind of strange, I always get close to hitting bucks, and did hit one with my first grand am (and surprisingly didn't damage anything, not even a a small dent). I've never come close to hitting a doe yet.

Why is not having ABS such a big deal? ABS is TERRIBLE.

since installing F body brakes im yet to even feel my abs kick in, and ive done a few 40 mph brake checks in wet parking lots, car just stops fast. no pedal pulse, nor does it hit the floor, or make that grinding sound. just stops..........fast.

You should totally clean yours again and show me how you get into those itty bitty areas :p

Took me a lot of time with some small brushes to clean in the small cubbyholes. I know some shops around here acid clean wheels. It's safe for the paint, but it will ruin the lip if the factory clear has come off. I'm not sure how the acid will affect the aluminum. When I polished my wheels last year, I removed the clear on them and polished them out. Such a big difference.

Changed the tierods on my friends grand am and fixed her coolant leak. The "water outlet" was crumbling and leaking pretty bad. Later i'm going to change her boyfriends spark plugs in his grand am. I hate grand am's.

Discovered today that my EGR knows when it's going to be replaced. SES light was on, so picked up one from a pick a part lot. SES light went off for six weeks. Past few days SES light returned, so I went to pick up the gasket. And now the SES light is off again!

Well whatever paint was on them has started flaking off from the brake fluid. If you have time you should put a write-up on my progress thread in the my ride section.... if its not too much of a hassle. I'm gonna be pulling the tires off and probably putting it on jack stands and replacing the brakes if I have time anyway. Might just have someone take the tires off cuz fronts are shot anyway and i'm thinking about sandblasting them and painting them like you mentioned.

So you said paint the diamond spoke mesh black and do the lip red?

Edit: or should I just tape off the tires and use the sandblasting booth to do it? Which would work better do you think. Also do you know if PPG sells a 1k epoxy? Too lazy to do research lmao

If I had the right car this is how I would do my X laces. I could do a write up as to how I polished my lips.

This option is black mesh with a polished lip. Very nice as well.

I even like this.

I think I'll do that on my black 1995 Ford Lightning. The Boyd Coddington wheels I put on it are really bad. I think I might still be able to get a good polished lip out of them.

Change my headlights in my car as i discovered that one was burnt out. Then I changed a buddies spark plugs and o2 in his gagt.

Really? Teal is your favorite blue???????

Lol yea, girly as it sounds its my favorite because it really pops and on a car it makes you go "wtf just happened" as it drives by. Plus it looks really nice on the fifth gen grand prix' IMO.

But I like any blue really...
