Cleaned the hell out of the throttle body today and while I had it off i touched up on the EGR port and the surrounding area. It was filthy but I tell you one thing, my RPMs are back where they should be. That thing pulls smooth as hell. I used CRC carburetor cleaner(couldn't find the throttle body cleaner) but its pretty much the same thing. Now I just gotta drive my car a few times to let the PCM re-learn itself.

Easy day......
 
I was checking under the hood of my minivan and saw that the front strut is about ready to pop through. I guess I should really weld that.
 
took apart a lawn mower engine today, and must have fvcked up with the Governor fork inside the engine as the gov wont work and it just screams, take 2 tomorrow. do it all over again.



on a brighter note. i ran into a guy with a 2000 regal gtx stage 3 at auto zone. the car was mint, black, gtx chrome wheels the spoiler, sweet car.

he had a 3.2 pulley togs, huge ass ic, and a intense tune. clean under the hood as well.

crazy part was i was parked, waiting to see whos driving this car, and the guy walks up to my car and starts talking to me lol said he saw me drive in lol

Well unless the frame is rusted out the frame rails will hold it together before it rusts in half lol
 


Scotty, how did you get that mower on blocks?

As Acid said we spent the day in OC, racing everything we could lineup with. :) It was nice to meet someone from the website. Interestingly I saw NO Cobalts there. OMG how many Cobras were made, they must have all been there.

A couple of customs from OC. The SRT4 in front of me I stalked until I lined up with him a few lights later. While waiting for the light to change I heard a noise next to me and looked over. It was a 5.0. He nailed it as I looked at him. I thought, **** I missed the light. Looked over and saw the SRT4 had a car on me. I hit the gas too hard and spun the tires. After I got that sorted out I reeled him in pretty fast but ran up on traffic before I could get by him. Driver error, asleep at the wheel.

You killed a Monte with a Z7 kit? How much boost was he running? Did he even have a tune?

i had the cinder blocks lined up then used paver stones to step up to the block, (like stairs) drive it up there, rear end now up. then jacked the front up with this bottle jack and put pavers under the front wheels.

ive worked on this a few times and having it off the ground just 10 inches makes a difference.

today kinda sucked, we pulled the engine from a smaller machine, just like this one, it has the same engine, so we swapped it, he wanted to do this for a while as the one in the pic has 7,000 hours on it, the smaller mower has only 400.

so took the original engine off and opened it up, and i had the parts in right, but i think my problem was i was trying to adjust the Governor with the engine flat and mounted, theres a disk that needs to be pushed up, and i dont think i had it pushed all the way.

new gasket tomorrow, and drop it on the smaller machine. pray it runs right.
 
today was interesting went to see taken 2 it was so damn good but on the way there a car decided to turn at the last second where to speed limit is 65 and the two cars in front of me slammed on their brakes and i had to do the same the truck behind me almost rear ended me but the 4 cars behind all hit each other. the gp lives to see another day and then on the way home a guy in a 5.7 gto was weaving in and out of traffic so i kept up with him for awhile and the road opened up and he got in the slow lane and i passed him i was doin 75 and he passed me like i wasnt moving so i passed him again i was doin 93 and then he never got around me again.
