• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

If you can pop off 4 tires with a ****ty jack, remove the old parts, decompress the springs, insert new struts, compress springs, attach new mounts, and get that done in an hour, I'd be impressed. If you mean an hour per strut, I won't have that time until next weekend. I have 3 hours of free time a day between my two jobs during week, and this weekend I have to work both jobs. I won't be have a pass on one of them until next weekend.
well maybe an hour and a half. I just did both front struts, an axle, and a tie rod last week on a gp in an hour and a half with messing around for a while. I could probably do all four struts in an hour if i didn't have anyone bugging me.

How much does it cost to powdercoat a rim? I got a few parts I would like to powdercoat some day.

depends on the rim, cause most rims have a clear coat on them, mine has, and most times he takes them to a big blaster.
other parts are simple and easy.
I know he charges less than half of the other powdercoater in town charges.

the biggest thing is shipping across boarder.

If someone in Canada whants stuff done, ok, but from the states, its better to find someone local.

clay bar for first time, now that is a slow process but hopefully its worth it, the clay did pick up some containments but overall I'm very impressed with out little there was for the car being made in October 2006.

powder coating is pretty reasonable really, its the sandblasting that kills you.

i wanted to get my plow re powder coated, 8' HD fisher minute mount, just the blade, they wanted 250. but the guy with the sand blaster wanted like 300, i was like what???? and never found another guy to get more prices from.

thats too big for my brothers unit. - he can do max 5' x 3'

i was at an industrial powder coater, the plow was small potatoes for them lol

the plan was to just un pin the plow from the A frame on to a fork lift. the sand blaster killed my dream.

Took the oil pan of Shawty's (Sean) engine that he bought, the guy who put it together was really in love with the idea of RTV. What a moron!!

about an hour with messing around a little bit and my daughter "helping" me with hitting everything she could find with a hammer lol

The fronts are a lot easier to do than the rears it sucks laying in the trunk to loosen and tighten the top mount.

My four year old grand daughter is a hard worker, she wants to help with everything. Her mother (my daughter) is the laziest girl alive.
