• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Glared at the vette in the garage, wished it was under the cover so I wouldn't have to look at it. Drove the stupid dakota but at least it was a nice enough day that I didn't need AC :)

Thinking about ordering a new rear inlay....still reflective purple but with a gloss white border so it "pops" more.
The purple is kinda hard to see against the fascia....

Put it up for sale wife wanted an Acadia and it was her car all stock.

oh god... please please please please please don't go by the oil life monitor. those engines eat timing chains and it's a 12 hour job flat rate. plus, changing spark plugs involves removing the intake plenum. i'd advise you to look at something else

cleaned the inside of the cobalt out. looking pretty good now. and i tried to re-attatch the front valence, we'll see how that goes. as for the grand prix... looked at it. called it a few names. asked it why it wasn't working and it told me to f*ck off. bypass solenoid is on it's way though, and that's it except for tuning

Polishing stuff is fun!

Then your trading me right lol

checked for oil leaks, and found one, my new valve cover gasket job is leaking, i cant win...

better news, cash in my pocket.

just got the go ahead from my friend to change the knock sensors on his 05 3500 silverado with a 6.0, for those who dont know the knock sensors are under the intake, so yeahhhhhh intake job.

so on the list is intake gaskets, 2 knock sensors, one knock sensor sub harness, two, o2's and a new injector, should make a fun day. hes not happy cause hes up to 400 just in parts. but thats what happens when you drive around with the cel on for 2 or 3 years.

oh wow.. sucks for him. YAY for you,, partially.

found a youtube vid it dont look bad at all. also found a how to from gm performance . com or something with better real type directions, this is a over view at best but was enough to convince me i could do this one.

if you have 10 minutes to kill...here ya go lol

better bust out the ladder. i take it that the 60 doesn't have AFM? if it does, you have the oil control manifold to deal with too.

im 6 foot 6 inches tall, and i already told him to get the milk crates and the mason planks ready.

im pretty sure once the throttle body is off its fluid free. nothing crazy in the how to i read.

yeah, it is. no coolant in the intake. i was talking about the displacement on demand, or active fuel management (department of defense didn't like the DOD acronym) manifold that sits over the valley. it's got 4 solenoids in it to control pressurized oil to the lifters. i'm not sure if you have to take that off for knock sensors on the 5.3's or not, but i doubt the 6.0's had active fuel management
