• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Boyfriend didn't want the insides cleaned because they are a lost cause, but I wanted to try my new stuff out.
I know it wont last because they are starting to pit and corrode (and they won't ever get taken off and cleaned regularly), but oh well.
Stupid crap GM "chrome"....

He also thought about painting the insides of these black to hide it as well, it'd be worth a shot.

What kinda paint would you use??

Alright.
I didn't know if there was a black wheel paint that would work. But it's probably expensive.
Taping these things off would be the biggest pita I think

Cleaned the raceprix(lol) head to toe inside and out. Vacuum, full interior detail, the works. Fresh to DEATH. And just to top it off, tire shine. :D

the plan i had in my head was to cut cardboard out in a circle that fit nice and snug,( tape if needed) paint them, and leave the cardboard in over night till its good and dry, then remove it.

a nail, pencil and string make a perfect circle what ever size you need.

i got this idea from my brother who has a cardboard cut out circle that fits perfectly over his wheels so when he sprays the tires no tire shine gets on the wheels, at all. he has 2 holes for finger holders.

Yes I know that lol. But I thought it had plenty left, at least a good one or two gallons, you know how GM gauges lie. I figured it would make it 8 miles home. Well apparently that orange low fuel light wasn't playing around today. LUCKILY I thought fast and there was a station less than a 1/4m mile a way.

But I have you know, it was 86 somethin degrees today pushin 90. Car was hotter than all hell when I got in it. So a/c was a must.

I just start using my DIC when it gets to sketchy low levels. My gauge isn't too bad but it ****s with me from time to time.

Well, all this time I thought the DIC was full of hockey. I mean it flashes LOW early on. BUT now I know that the orange light in the dash means fine le go go juice.

Finished my MPS install and put a Intense PCM. Received the KiWi bluetooth from Matt (works awesome with Torque App) . Its reading 3*KR which seems normal with 3.6 pulley.

Actually, you need to think how painters who paint cars do. When they tape off a car they only leave the tape and paper on until the paint just starts to tack. If you leave it on too long you are going to leave a hard line in the paint and/or take paint up.

Tested out the new TCC and PCS while delivering newspapers, no hesitations at all. Drove to Six Flags. Given the GP a rest before back out again with newspapers tomorrow morning. A good sign that I may just yet hit 200k miles!

I pulled some unnecessary brackets off under the hood then tried to weld part of my rockers back together but everytime I tried to grind some rust off the part I was grinding on fell off so I gave up.

Swapped out my HU for one with the 7 band Eq, better sound IMO. Aux jack installed too, woohoo now i can play my mp3's from my phone.

Replaced the burned out bulbs in my DIC, now its nice and bright.

Soldered the light sensor in the HUD, HUD no longer gets dim.

Plastidipped the 18's washed the bluefury. Gassed her up and parked it.
