What did you do to your Car today?

Re: What did you do to your Grand Prix today?

Fabbed up and installed my DIY Lowe's intake. 3" rubber collar, 22.5 degree 3" street elbow, a couple hose clamps, and a 9" red Spectre open cone filter!

All went pretty smoothly except I had to "shave" the inside of the rubber collar where it connects to the throttle body to get it to slide over the lip. I just used my pocket knife the flare it at an angle taking away a small amount of rubber at a time until it cleared it. That, and I had to bungee chord my PCM and radiator overflow bottle to the fender for the time being. Plan to move my coolant bottle to the other side of the engine bay soon when I replace my entire cooling system that is infested with dexcool sludge.

Not bad for just over $40.

Finished up wiring for electric water pump, installed alternator, idler pulleys, tensioners, icm, front header, ic pump, lower rad hose.

Sent using my bionic thumbs from my sweet DROID Razr Maxx

put the sts wheels on.

Got pulled over, LOL, my girlfriend got a warning for 83 in a 70

Meh, just makes it live up to the acronym, Poor Old N***** Thinks Its A Cadillac

that would be very clever, except its a Buick! all you GP guys are in Pontiac's.

all we ever were able to come up with for buick, was bums unite in c*nt kicking. not very good i must say, how smart are we when we are 17?

Parked it in the same spot I always do at the boyfriends house...went to go leave and the birds had it covered in crap.
And I mean covered. Hood, roof, trunk lid, back window, side windows.
Wipers and washer fluid couldn't even get the front window clean.
And I don't have time to wash it till Wednesday....grrrrrr

Finally found the vacuum leak and the reason my car was stalling and getting bad gas mileage(MAP line was hanging loose), and finally got around to changing the oil in the SC. I def suggest changing the oil in high mileage cars. The oil was gunky, black and horrible smelling. Much different then the clear stuff I replace it with. I also repaired a leak that was luckily at the top of the radiator and backflushed the whole system.

beat it senseless up the parkway, cruised at 85 lol surprised i didnt get pulled over, unfortunately it means i now need gas before the morning

had the tires removed from the tires and wheels i got for the tires only, and had them put on the new sts wheels, then painted my new calipers and brackets. then removed my old tires off my regal rims the hard way, yeah by hand power, and scrapped all 8 old wheels, made 120 back off the scrap.

changed a flat on my buddys G5. The wheel was damn near rusted to the brake drum. Took a ton of WD-40 and a hammer.

Got the flat check out at a shop, he needed a new TPS.

Called the dealership thinking I might get lucky and have some outstanding recalls, like valve covers.....but no such luck :(
Car needs washed baaaddd. And it needs go go juice.

I wouldn't mind having him all the time but i have 2 kids and another on the way so I'm sure he wouldn't get as much attention as he would staying with my mom and dad. They have the paperwork that says if anything ever happens to them then i'll get him.

And also my car turned over 211,000 today.

We adopted my niece's baby at 18 months about 21 years ago. Didn't work out real great. Raised her and now raising her 4 year old. I'm way too old for this.
