• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

back out garage and ended up in the nieghbors yard...lol thankyou mother nature for making my driveway a piece of glass last night. i think that was the first time in my life i was sure what had happend.

Got it back from an oil change and tire rotation.
They think the leak is coming from oil pan gasket. I sure hope so, it sounds the least invasive and least expensive from the list of possibilities.

Oh, and the SLP spoiler came yesterday!

not be the bear of bad news, but the oil pan gasket is a pain to replace and pretty spendy aswell from a shop.

Id say its best to de-grease the underside of the motor first to be for sure thats whats leaking.

I know, I gotta get it washed, just don't have the best access to do such.
So oil pan is more expensive than valve covers? I guess I thought valves would be expensive like the lim?

valve covers are easy, there are just a few brackets in the way thats all, remove those and you can get at all the VC bolts.

Larbor time would be the reason why the oil pan would be more than the valve covers.

Oil pan gasket replacement = engine pulled, or subframe dropped. Both = labor. Labor = money.

I changed my oil today.
Changed my brothers tie rod ends yesterday.(with moogs, only way to do it.)

Did the tranny pan drop, fluid change, shift kit, replaced fuel filter, hooked up the engine components, heat shrunk the broken vac lines till replacements arrive, refilled all fluids, changed oil and lastly... Fired her back up! No leaks, everything good!

Barely touched the key and she started like a champ ready to go!!!

Hahaha, and wouldn't you know it, got e-mail that my headers shipped!
:th_laugh-pointup:

I knew it!!! Knew that would happen... lol

Just get under there or if your that kind of girl you could have your bf get under there and try to tighten up your oil pan. It might slow down the leak if not make it stop for a while.

Why does everything have to cost money?
I'm not scared to crawl under there and tighten things, i was under it last week looking at the ickyness. I just gotta get it jacked up a bit so I can get under there easier.

It cost less to do it yourself and you learn something in the process. Just don't go ape **** on the bolts and strip on out or anything. I tightened mine a while back and I haven't seen any spots of oil on the ground lately.
