• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

IDJ, From the pics you post of whats going on at work, retros would be cake work for you. It really is one of those things where you need to make a round block fit in a square hole. Use a dremel to make the shroud fit, then use a dremel to make room on the back of the light for the projector to bolt down. Once I did the first headlight I was able to get the second headlight done in about an hour (done to the point it needed aiming).

Well, y'know I reckon (and thats a complete sentence in Arkansas) honestly what bugs me is I get embarrassed if I catch myself spending time on phony plastic crap that I have little choice but to use as transportation. All that work and I'd still have a 97-03 GP that somebody will destroy in time. So I don't drive at nite much anymore. I've given up on audio entirely, just not worth the work to keep good stuff in there so I listen to the interior plastic and whine instead. Lamp options I've considered mostly involve dual glass lenses and metal buckets.

One of these future warm weekends I'll be pulling the rear bump off the 69 and cutting the socket holes out of the metal tail lamp housings. Then I'll scavenge the plastic bulb hole sections from 99 tails and rivet + bond those on in their place. Swap in the tail harness, and I'll be all set with modern tail bulbs and sockets. Much safer than the OE. And since old tails like that have removeable lenses, I'll freshen the inside of the housing for better light while I'm in. Not unlike doing a retro HL conv. but sans aiming. You are doing good if you can actually adjust yours. I think the same guy makes headlight adjusters and those electric vent actuators under the dash!

Weather got chilly, figured I'd add some more antifreeze in the regal since it's mostly water and Prestone flush. Opened the rad cap to see craptastic orange water, this after two flushes already until the water ran out clear (from both the engine and rad). Guess once I drain this crap out, vinegar will go in for the next cleanse. This car will be dex free, if it's the last thing I do.

Washed her and went grocery shopping. What she was made to do. Now its snowing smh

Left the trunk liner on the fence to dry after spilling water on it....2 weeks ago. Found it yesterday in the backyard covered in leaves, snow and god knows what else. Washed it.

Thinking of selling the GXP to get out from under it & getting a cheap beater. I have several reasons for wanting to do this. Mostly though it's cuz I'm tired of working 2 jobs just to pay all my bills.

Spent some time trying to pop out the blown driver's airbag but failed. Mine doesn't look like the instructions I'm finding so wondering if the removal is different for a deployed bag. The little wire clips won't move and are like bedded in white plastic. Dang near snapped off my Snap-On pocket screwdriver givin it hell. Gave up because my hand is still not working good and it hurt. Home with fever today and hoping it wasn't the few days of airbag dust that brought it on. I'll wear a mask to drive until I can get past this deal. Prolly get pulled over for obscuring my identity or something... this is bunk, been a month since the crash tomorrow. The cops are still investigating.

Driving around with a mask on at a time when people are trying to join isis... may prove to be entertaining for us. Just keep a camera running at all times, and see if the cops will post the vid.

What is isis, them ninja suits? I don't have a TV... or a camera to leave running while I drive, or I wouldn't be in this situation. I do have an idea where you can place your camera though, that would be entertaining for me.

Since you've helped me expand my vocabulary today, I'll return the favor= schadenfreude.

Nope, last TV broke about a year ago. I know theres black suits all over the web and maybe a threat of war somewhere. Just not "into" it.
