Re: What did you do to your Grand Prix today?

After being in the shop for a failed transmission a second time in 60k miles I got the tires rotated and balanced and car realigned. This car has been a total pile and I wish I never bought it 4 years ago.

Oh wow that sucks. Yeah nighttime recording is night/day difference literally. I did a side by side recording yesterday. Quality in the day is probably the same, video and audio. same features, and they have a lot of similarities overall.

Must have alot of miles, them rear shoes are known to last like 100k miles easy.

And that stupid tension spring dealio one that goes all the accross is really gay, almost need 2 people for it.

Not sure of his mileage, but it is up there. He drives it for work every day and sometimes does 200+ miles in a day. He's also hauled our 20' trailer with some heavy loads on it, so I am sure that hasn't helped the shoes. The only thing that really seemed to give us fits was the ebrake. Instead of wrestling the cable out of its slot we just took and knocked the clip off the pin while it was still attached.

After we put it back together he ran it around the parking lot to make sure nothing was going to fall apart and said he could notice a huge difference in braking in just those low speeds.

Drive it to a coffee shop. For coffee obviously. Kept an eye on the Voltage since I just replaced the Alternator. Couldn't not notice the voltage dropping from 14 to 13 and sometimes even lower while driving. Im thinking maybe the bad alternator damaged the battery. Or something else idk. The car runs and that's really all that matters to me right now.

they all drop volts at idle, more stuff on the lower it will drop too. like the heater or ac fan on full, amps being used. headlights on...and so on.

Fixed another brake line on the bonneville. I'll be glad when that car's gone I'm tired of working on it. So many problems could have been avoided if it weren't left sitting so long.

installed my fresh fuel filler tube and cap. no 440 code after test drive. runs well now but im still messing with the 02's and its pissing me off lol. ill win eventually

Anyone have a list of what all the service vehicle soon possible fixes are. Not service engine but service vehicle. Message that comes up on DIC
